U pravu si, a još gore je u Sloveniji, mene su vratli sa italijansko -slovenačke granice u Trstu nazad u Italiju samo što sam hteo da prodjem kroz Sloveniju ne bi li došao kući u Beograd za Novu godinu.Morao sam iz Trsta za Bari(1400 km) vozom pa na trajekt za Bar,putovao sam 3 dana i 3 noći, ali ja ih ne mrzim zbog toga jer sam dobar čovek i sve mi se u životu lepo dešava, i samo se smejem...

It's much more difficult to stereotype, prejudge and hate a whole culture if you actually know something about them and learn to see them as human beings, essentially similar to yourself.

Honestly, I hesitate to go myself (many of my friends do not) because I DO read, and I read that Europeans (not to mention the rest of the world) hate Americans. I am not a loud and obnoxious person. I'm afraid I will offend people unknowingly and they don't want to give the benefit of the doubt bc they are so ready to hate me.

Seattle is rather Stockholm and people in the American NW are good, mellow, and/or depressed. I would not be so sure about kindness toward the black and Latinos in Texas and many other places in the US.
