at around 0.23, how do you get the note to fade out like that? everytime i try it stops abruptly and i don't think it sounds right at all!

@JosieAC1 .......hold the right peddle down till you want it to stop, then slowly but sharply bring your foot off

@youreyesonlyme ......... if your playing this ( grade 8 ) and you cant tell the speed on the sheet music ( bpm).. then i dont think you should really be at the level you are.

@hannahchanxox There are different techniques displayed in these two Nocturnes. However, I believe if you can play one you have the ability to play the other.

Well, after 6weeks hard toil I've managed to play this piece to a reasonable standard. I couldn't have done it without your help so thank you so much.

Incidentally I'm not keen on the ending and have composed an alternative, but admittedly somewhat naive,, ending!

@ColinMitchellMusic Thanks for your comment. That was my 14 year old son's recent recording. The piano was a W Hoffmann T128 but the camera we used was old and not functioning well. What piano were you playing? It's got such a warm, nice and pleasing tone. The inner harmonic notes came off rather nicely.
