to make an wireless submarine you need an CO2 cartrige and a electric slow release valve , some rechargeable batteries , a battery holder , a circuit from an RC car and the controller , motors , a baloon ( or more ) , water bottles , a lot of solder , glue , electrical tape ,some potentiometers, and a lot of time
I do teach certain PLTW courses but I deviate quite a bit when I can to more closely align with state math and science standards. We spent a fair amount of time doing experiments where students calculated density, buoyancy and a concept they call finding the metacenter. To the best of my knowledge, this is an original lesson, however, I've started seeing similar projects out there lately.

@Membrane556 I'm interested in science and engineering (I'm 13) but my family is pretty poor, and I'm home schooled so we just read about it...But I like to do little science projects in my spare time :) as long as they are cheap.
@PhobosXL normally submarine dive by opening the top hole to let water go in and gain weight , to surface , u close the top hole , open the bottom hole and release air from a tank where diver uses , and the air will push the water out through the bottom hole eventually ....
now u know how to surface and dive ~~ have fun ...

how you get the engines dry ?
LPSandMore2 6 months ago
@LPSandMore2 a electric motor can be submerged under water with no problem , just the wires coming out of it must be protected

Every public school should offer classes like this as that's how you get kids interested in science and engineering at a young age.
