Don't get mad. Be happy the RX-7 doesn't have a wankel in it anymore and is actually fast now. An import motor wouldn't make enough torque to do more than get it to back out of the garage so that would be silly.

That's hardly a good call. This is the kind of comment I would expect to come from a very misinformed person. Damn those slow Wankels, running 6s and winning Le Mans... Torque is great for skids, but has little to do with "being fast".

For what it's worth, I'm all for this conversion. The blown V8 is tough as nails and the skid is a top effort. Credit to the owner for building a mad burnout machine.
