The first time I saw this movie as a kid and watched the death of Qui-Gon I cried like a baby because I thought of him as like a fatherly figure and it was sad to see him go.
Episode 1 is ok if you're kid but when you grow up and realise the perfect art of the original trilogy, you realise how shit the prequels were. But, Episode 2 is no doubt one of the worst movies in the world, so atleast Episode 1 and Episode 3 can be proud that they are better than episode 2. Then it goes Episode 4, 5, and 6 being the best.
When you really think about it. Star Wars is like the Bible. Anakin actually saves the galaxy from the Dark Side. Whereas Jesus saved people from their sins. Either way you look at it both of them save the lives of billions of people.
Well, anakin did balance instead of removing darkside IMHO, Cause the ratio:
1000 jedi for 2 sith. Well, he reduced it to something like 10-20 jedi to 2 sith, and most of them hiding/About to fall to dark side. So IMHO he "evened" the 2 sides out.
@Rampageed Personally I like Yuuzhon Vong they add a new aspect of being "Outside" of the force. Originally it may not be that great but as you go on it gets much better.
This is such an amazing piece of music especially the choir part, gives my spine a chill everytime. Use to remember hearing this every time I got off the shuttle on Lok in SWG, before it was ruined by SOE. Damn I miss those days.
I like the prequels, they get so much hate. But to me, its still starwars and i still love those films more than any films that come out. There was meant to be a 7-8-9 film as well, people would still hate on that too going "THATS NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL SAGA, SAD FACE" but doubt they'd be made.
@Rampagedd Yeah, they're definitely not BAD movies. People just think they're bad STAR WARS movies. I however love the prequels as well, Episode I especially (The one that gets the most hate lol). They will never be as good as the originals obviously, but they are still good in their own way. A sequel trilogy on the other hand, I doubt they'll be made too. The story of Star Wars is the rise and fall of Darth Vader, which was pretty much covered in all 6 movies.
@NinjaDoctor9 Yes, the 7-8-9 Would be with Luke as an old man, the jedi council restored, luke married to someone with kids, with leiegh as a jedi, married to han with kids also..Luke turning to the darkside.. clones of the emperor.. all kinda.. messed up
@Rampagedd Yeah, I know all about the EU and it sounds terrible lol. The entire "clone emperor" storyline from those comic books was really lame. It definitely ruined Darth Vader's sacrifice at the end of Return of the Jedi. I really hope they shove that story in the lowest level of EU continuity someday lol it's so bad. Some of the EU stuff is pretty decent though until that Yuuzhan Vong thing, it's like they just watched Lord of the Rings and tried to make it into Star Wars.
@NinjaDoctor9 As soon as the whole cloning thing is brought into it it renders the whole plot useless to me.. Vader is emo over padme, WHY not clone her if he does his apprentice... The emperor wishes for vader to be the old self (without the suit), WHY not clone him? if the emperor has loads of himself. and the way the final emperor dies.. "shot in the back with a blaster by han solo" right...
@Rampagedd Hahah, yeah seriously, a clone army was cool in Episode II. They were just common soldiers. But once they start adding clone Jedi... guhh. Current Star Wars stuff (Books, video games, TV shows) have such lousy writers, it's like they just hired a bunch of people off the internet to write them fanfiction and they put it in their stuff. Like the droid Proxy with Jedi powers in the Force Unleashed... Clone Mandolorian Jedi in the books... Have these people even seen Star Wars? lol
@Cyberhamon I agree to a certain extent. KOTOR 1 had great writing and a story that was truly worthy of the Star Wars name. And that's saying something from me since I'm not a big fan of the KOTOR era. However, KOTOR 2 actually didn't even hold my interest enough to keep me playing it passed the Mandalorian part lol. I don't really remember the story or anything, but everything you did in the game was just too drawn out. It seemed they were just trying to make it as long as possible.
@NinjaDoctor9 The problem with KOTOR 2 is that LucasArts rushed it onto the market. As such, a lot of content was missing. And most of the things missing would have been storyline related cutscenes. I agree that, in the condition it was released in, it was just ok. However, if it hadn't been rushed, I do believe the story would have been great. Either way, Kreia was an awesome character.
@Cyberhamon Ah I see, yeah I never knew about all of that other stuff but it does certainly seemed rushed. It definitely isn't a bad game. But I'd argue that the first KOTOR is far superior compared to the second when it comes to the writing and characters. It was definitely more memorable, for me at least. And it held my interest through the entire game! haha.
@playerdepimp Well, Episode III of course had the best effects. I'm not sure, but I've heard Episode II had the MOST effects... they were practically standing in front of a green screen like 85% of the time haha. But personally, I think Episode I had the best effects since they still utilized models for some of the ships and other vehicles. I dunno why, but effects just seem so much better when there's actually something in front of the camera.
@hameed Definitely. Miss the old times before the CU and NGE. Can't forget Corellia though. Good scenery, good music, great instances, and good memories. ^_^
Remember the droid factory scene? bleehhhhh so farfetched and embarrassing to know that was a part of a star wars movie. Hayden Christiansen overacts at times in that movie too in my opinion.
@vfgjhj along with episode 2 and 3 lol the old ones really arent anything special and this is coming from a huge star wars fan i just prefer the prequels and suggest a remake of the classics
I especially love 0:00-0:07 and 0:27-0:33. Kinda both remind me of the part near the end of the movie when Obi-Wan was with Yoda talking about training the boy.

I disagree with the ones that think episode II is a bad movie, in my opinion is the second best of all the saga, why?, because:
1- it shows the mystery behind boba fett
2- the scene of jango vs. Obi wan is awesome, also the asteroid field battle scene
3- THE CLONES, THE BATTLE OF GEONOSIS
4- all the jedi fighting
5- yoda fighting

6-Phantom Menace (Not that I hate it or anything, its just the others are better)
