ive just noticed that many parts of the vid are different from the std arcade game, Im sure MM is a 1 loop game, is that footage from the DC arrange mode? if so it looks alot harder then the original more like a 2nd loop

I started playing Mars Matrix around age 15-16. I didn't like it, because of the chaining system and the very high bullet count.

Six years later (aka: earlier this week) I gave this game another shot and now it's hard to put down.

I got so excited after watching this video that I ordered a copy for my Dreamcast, completely forgetting that I could have just played it on MAME. Sorta hurts to lose $40 like that, but I at least I get the genuine experience, I guess.

I think the only better shooter ports around are the two PS2 Cave releases by Arika, so money well spent. It has an arranged mode with new enemies and patterns, more control options, fixed scoring system and some unlockable replays if you need 'em.
