  • Use only vertical motions! Thor help you if you use a Horizontal motion!

  • why are people even looking how to change a processor if they don't even know basics like ''can i put an amd processor on a Intel board''? guys if you don't know that you don't know computers at all so don't even think about it, oh and there's no adapters for it... wtf??

  • I see bad caps!

  • is it possible to install an intel cpu on a amd motherboard

  • Wish the shop I got my processor installed at didn't steal my noctua thermal grease

  • I am sorry for the stupid question but do I need to reinstall the OS after I change the CPU?

  • @naruo10000 You do not have to. You might have to update your BIOS, but that's about it :).

  • thanks i should upgrade my computer a little bit ..

    Intel core i7 2600k 3.4 ghz

    xfx hd 6950 2gb

    corsair ax 850w

    cooler master haf x

    asus sabertooth p67

  • Hear we go all people new to computer Building, If you have the money, Buy An Intel I7 series or lower, if you dont just Get A Quad Core or Dual Core AMD proccerser

  • mine is soderd in to the motherboard :S

  • HOLY SHIT, enough memory slots i think!

  • I have a question about my processor, Is it good to play games with? or should I upgrade it? I am decided on updating my graphics card, as it is integrated and old, but my Processor is:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ 2.5 GHz

I cant play like any games on Low without lag :( I have 2gb of ram too. I think I will get some more Ram too :P Thanks!

  • @MrKizzler99 you don`t extra ram buy yourself a pci express video card

like geforce gt 210/asus EN210 for about less then 40 euro and you can play all games on high or a geforce gts 250 for about 99 euro and you can play all games on max

your processor is one of the best for gaming

btw defrag your harddisk if you don`t have the money yet greeting from holland(johan)

  • @johanpeeters83

Thanks man, this tells me that my problem is most likely my Graphics, thanks a lot :)

  • my processor falled down and i catched it from the floor no cleaning and stuff, add him to socket but it didn't fit, i was pushing more until it fits.. the processor now works for five years nothing is wrong with it, i didn't even need to remove motherboard so calm down all of you easy as cake

it says Bios Version American Megatrends ..I'D Like to get it up to or over 3.4 ghz Will that make it way fastster? thanks

  • I was just given a really old computer that probably doesn't even have 1.0ghz. Is it possible to upgrade it to at least 1.6ghz or will it be to much for it to handle?

It has a pentium III cpu.

  • LOL installing your O.S. again by add more RAM? you did something wrong man, you don't need to install you O.S. when installing hardware.

  • darn it! ive put in a graphics card, i have to reinstall!!!!! -.- im amazed how this video looks like a 1980's guide, and its not that old...

  • i am planning to change my processor, but i am confused. do i have to install again my os? or just like RAM that if u upgrade no need to install ur os again? tnx in advance^^

  • If I am right, it is similar to RAM (most likely, I am right...).

The operating system is installed into the Hard Drive, and only the replacement of the hard drive would require you to reinstall your OS.

  • hey, i have a 1.8 ghz processor, what should i get to replace this, that would be nice and cheap, but stil be good for games. i have a nvidia geforce 9400 gt.

  • how cheap go to newegg com

  • Lets see... It depends on the amount of Cores you would like the processor to have. Processors can range from $50 to $300.

  • @Khalduknight LMFAO. Heard of the 980x ? oh right... one year ago... Core 2 Extreme?

  • I have a pentium 4 2.53ghz

i was tihnking about putting ina pentium 4 2.66ghz, will this be better? and how much better?

  • It's such a tiny upgrade that you won't notice the difference.

Save your money for something more modern, such as the core 2 duo, phenom ii, or i7. Even the slowest one of these is much better than a p4 2.66 ghz.

  • @falseid89 what about p4 1.7ghz to p4 2.66ghz? Would that be any good. I do not think i can get some sort of slot converter for the core 2 duo, phenom ii, or I series.

  • That upgrade is almost unnoticeable. On a benchmark, you would get say... only 0.1 points more of performance.

Save your money for a dual-core, quad core,or even an octo-core processor. Their worst still murders off most Pentium 4 processers. I highly suggest that you get the higher end of AMD's dual-core processor or the base range of the Intel dual cores.

  • hello , inm y system requirement it says : dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00 GHz , does that mean i have a dual core proccessor ( 4.00 GHz ) ?

  • yes

  • It is a dual core, but it is not equivalent to single core running at 4.00 GHz.

  • omg thank you sooo much, very well explained!

  • I have two PC. I want to switch thier processor. is it posible?

    PC1: pentium 4 1.8ghz

    PC2: celeron d 2.93ghz

  • find out what motherboard you have then look up the specs to see what processors they support

  • very nicely explained, helped alot :)

  • its about static electrisity,, not the CPU damagin you its you damaging the CPU:D

  • hahhaha

  • Would anybody tell me if it is a dualcore or what cause im gonna buy a amd 2,7*2 dualcore and i dont know how to insert it ? please someone help me
