In 1997, one of the best games ever was made by Black Isle Studios. It was called Fallout. Fallout 2 came the following year, and there was talk of a Fallout 3, codenamed 'Van Buren'. Unfortunately, Black Isle was shut down before it was completed. Everyone working there went to form Obsidian Entertainment, but Interplay did a stupid move.

They sold the franchise to Bethesda, who would proceed to make an unspeakable abomination. They removed everything good. Assholes...

Why are you guys saying Fo3 is bad? I mean, the only Fallout game I've played is 3, and it's great. That can only mean one thing: Fo1 and Fo2 are even better games than Fo3, and that's why you say it's bad. Which in turn means I should get 1 and 2.

i love that theme and love how you put in the Gecko scenery and ghouls there, it fits in Fallout 2 better than it did in the first one with Junktown.

@CaptainBillFish No. The apocalypse in the Fallout universe did not occur in the 1950's. The 1950's mentality of a what the future would be like REMAINED. As in, culture did not move beyond the 1950's, but technology did (robots, laser guns, etc.). The war happened much later.
