Someone told me that Tristan sang this song many times on GH. I heard John Reilly sing it once. Anyone have any of these? I know Tristan played the drums, long time ago, but never heard him sing.
I can remember an interview she did during this time period with Soap Opera Update where she talked about being "cursed" with perfect pitch. She had done background vocals for Madonna's True Blue album and kinda dished that Madonna sang a bit out of tune. And you know what? She really did back then (pre-Evita). Hee!
Love Edie Lehmann. There's not much news about her out there these days, but it looks like she's been busy being music director for quite a few films and productions.
I have come to really like Katherine by watching these videos. I wasn't watching GH while she was on but have come to appreciate her as part of Robert's life and Edie as a great humerous actress that fit well with the show at that time.
But I have no idea why they are singing at Robert's funeral??? ha-ha
This was about a month after they got engaged. Robert was poisoned by Jimmy (Katherine's obsessive, murderous, counterfeiting "friend"), but he did not die. Instead, he faked his death in order to set a trap for Jimmy.
Glad you're enjoying the Katherine and Robert stuff that is out there. They did have great chemistry and good material for a while... I hope to post more soon.
Oh yes! Katherine, Anna, Robin, Sean, Frisco, Felicia and Monica were all in on the plan! Some day I will post the story. This scene took place about 2.5 months before Duke came back and died again (ruining Katherine and Robert's wedding day, thank you very much!).
I would love to see that story posted. It seems their story is mixed in with the Duke & Anna storylinee. It is hard to figured out when Robert and Katherine went from being friends to being engaged. I think I have it figured
Met Dec 1988
She was engaged to someone else and they were friends Jan to May 1989
When it originally aired, I had it on tape and had to have played this scene a ton of times. I love Edie's voice and she and Jack Wagner blended so well together. If I recall correctly, this was the first time they sang together on the show before doing the gigs at Delafields.
Also makes me think of Heath Ledger :( His daughter's name is Matilda and I have to wonder if it has something to do with this song.

Wow, I hadn't seen this in forever! Thanks for posting these clips. Edie is an amazing singer and I wish there was more lead vocals stuff out there!

Me too! But she's certainly done a lot of chorus and back-up vocal work since leaving GH.

Thanks for the info. I just heard her say fiance this time...
Did anyone know Robert was alive? Did Katherine believe he was dead when she sang this? He put that poor women through way too much! LOL
This must have taken place before the Fake Duke came back and then died again? Lots of deaths that year!!!

she was rescured by Robert May 1989?
They had their 1st Date June 1989
I think they were engaged Dec 1989
This funeral clip is of Jan 1990
So June to Dec 1989 is a bit foggy! LOL

Yes, it was the first time. Delafield's opened a few months after this.
