This means hovering some feet over the launch deck like a harrier for a moment before plopping down too. It's BF 3, not a flight simulator. Flight sims do help grasp the concept and tricks faster than most on this game but it's nothing experience can't teach. And yeah, hardcore all the way. I like people dying when I shoot them.

So I instead land on a runway like surface away from the firefights. Half of the servers i'm on have people who rather fight on land than use jets... so I can land and repair with no problem.

Other times, I land and give the plane to someone else when I want to actually support my team.
