@dkabot But this method only leads to broken motors, scratched discs and possibly damaged lazers. You see every time you yank the disc while its spinning the holder or spindle takes damage, the rod that it spins on gets very slightly bent over time it will cause serious issues, if your going to do this sort of stuff track down a "Game Breaker Pro" its a swap disc system that at least stops the disc for swapping rather than making you rip it out ;) (Oh im a heavy psx / ps2 user)

Looks like a good way to kill a perfectly fine PSOne system. Just invest 20 bucks into a disk swapper online for the PSOne and you won't kill your drive out and damage your disks.

For people who don't know, if you have a "backup disc" of a PSX game, like an ISO that's burned to a CD or something for a "safe copy", you can use this so it will work on your PSX without paying for something.

It allows you to play imported games that you wouldn't be able to normally (for example US/Japanese games on a European PS, or Japanese games on a US PlayStation). But as I'm sure you can imagine, it knackers out the hardware a lot more quickly than with normal use.

Dude, you don't really know how to use the abbreviation "PSX". A PSX is a Japanese PS2 with a DVD burner installed into the hard drive. Its true. Don't ask me why. Ask SCEJ why they name it a PSX.

Remember for those of you trying it, you don't need to be as fast as this guy does it, that's a really good way to damage your discs with scratches. When the Cd brakes, then do it, and you don't have to be as fast as you think, but don't take all day, you'll get the hang of it after a few tries.

Could you tell us what determines when to swap the discs? Is the speed changing, are there clicks or noises? This is kind of vague.

Not sure if this has already been responded back to you, but anyways, I'll say it. There are 2 speeds, 1x and 2x. When you turn it on, it'll start spinning at 1x, once it spins at 2x, take it out and swap with your burnt disc. It'll go back to 1x, then to 2x, on the next 1x, put in your original game disc, and when it goes one last time to 2x, swap with your burnt game. It takes some practice. Have fun :)
