I dunno if Tea Party members would understand this economic analysis but it's true that the government would want to increase their spending during a recession. Why? because it's the kind of economic system we have. Remember our economy runs on debt the more debt out there the bigger the pool of money is. Eventhough, it seems like common sense that tightening your spending is a good idea, it doesn't work in the macro level but it does work in the individual level.

He was also criticized, and his VP Al Gore was investigated, for soliciting campaign contributions from the Chinese from the White House. People sometimes ask why Taiwanese people love Japan. It was because the Japanese Navy was stationed there, rather than the Army, who were really just thieves and murderers. (That is why Korea hates Japan.)

KMT = Guo Ming Dan. The ruling party of the ROC.

Japan owned Taiwan as a colony after a war with China, and planned to turn it into another Japanese island. Therefore, they built the majority of Taiwan's rail system, furnished it's cities grandly, like Taihoku (Taipei) and Kagi (Chiayi), gave them public schools, and industrialized the economy.

Combine this with the failures of the ROC in Taiwan, and that is the reason Taiwan likes Japan.
