Saying that we wold be blessed, even with family salvation, if we give to him 1000 reais (750 dollars). He encourage people to give the family vocation money, and ours son's college money calling that the widow offer. Disgusting!

What I objected to are the doctrines of sacrifice and sorrow, of anti winning mentality, of fear and guilt, and especially of lack of common sense and logic.

You said that the currency of heaven was compassion. That is simply another word for what I mean by tears, empathy, "weep with those who weep," - travail for the lost, for the backsliding, etc. There is no "anti winning" or fear or guilt.

Your burden can be LIGHT if you learn to truly REJOICE in affliction. It won't ALL be affliction, but the Christian walk is guaranteed to be SOME affliction, unless you don't want to be like Jesus.

i have heard tithing and the hundred fold return linked. if it were true the for a £10 offering this sunday and i continued to do this i would be a millionare in a month! if everybody did it the world would run out of money, how much does the leadership believe God provides? in the next breath the offering was announced - go figure!!
