I am working on project in PD using boids algorithm. Did you use gemOrb with a spaceOrb controller to move your orb? I would love to see your patch if possible. nice work!
Any chance of seeing the source file? I'm trying to do something with PD similar to the 3d object manipulation (tho' not with the DSP bits) and could do with some tips! :-)
all the graphics environment looks like gem, but in fact, I may think that you are using pdpp (or anything close to this - you know what I am referring, the physics package of pd) to send numbers from pd to processing by p5 (or something like this)
i didn't know PD had a physics package. i'll have to check that out.
but actually, all the movements are lowpassed white noise. 3 channels (X Y Z) for the center sphere, and then they're lowpassed further independently for the orbiting.. uh.. things.
looks cool. i'm curious how this lowpass filter idea works. can you send me the patches? cheers

please let me know your patches, that's really interesting stuff...

DSP = Digital Signal Processing. it's used mostly for changing sounds (adding reverb or echo, for example).
it'll probably take a few weeks to wrap your head around, but if you've got the time, download PureData from puredata[dot]info
