The rockets were a scrappy team when he came in and he developed that team. Yao only averaged 12 pts at that time and their weren't that many scorers that could get their shot. If T-Mac had a decent team like he has this season but too bad he rushed his rehab and got injured, they would of beaten L.A easily & most likely win the championship. Nuff said.

T-MAC's injury problems and his history of it...he keeps coming in and out of the lineup which it mess up the rhythm of the team and the players
#2. yao ming ISNT shaq! he is good but hes not as dominate as him...but he needs the ball in his hand in order for him to be effective...BUT T-MAC needs the ball to be effective and he needs the ball in his hand
T-MAC is not and CANT be a role player(as of right now until he proves and changes) like shane battier and scola...AND even if he tries to pass the ball without doing alot of dribbling...it slows down the offense because he is USED to the ball in this hand all the time
#3. rick adelman's motion offense...his offense is basically the offense he used with the kings but with yao ming in it which he can draw double team from the post...run, cut, picks,screen, pass...its not 1-1 isolation offense...
it not the suns' steve nash offense...its not the utah offense which yao ming and t-mac can play a 2 man game ALL the time..its jus like kobe in the triangle offense...even thou i love him but HE doesnt fit well into it becase he does his own things and he doesnt change like jordan...jordan changed the way he plays and thats why he fits well into triangle...soo T-MAC has to proves he doesnt need the ball in order for him to be effective
#4. they have ron artest..which he needs the ball as well
artest does some crazy one of one stuff sometimes as well but he fits better than t-mac because he is physical and he is a good defender and he doesnt need the ball 60/70% of the times like t-mac...if t-mac is here then they going to be fighting for the ball and later on yao ming is not going to get any touches
#5. THE ROCKETS HAVE ENOUGH EFFECTIVE ROLE PLAYERS ALREADY with low salary BUT t-mac takes up alot but isnt as effective as the other guys
the rockets can trade away t-mac and get a decent player (not a 1on1 star type player like kobe and lebron) to build around yao ming and ron artest then im sure they can get into the conference championship round/ final within a couple of years...yao ming + artest with the money of t-mac that can get one or two decent players can be better than having t-mac on the team...think about this...

T-MAC's injury problems and his history of it...he keeps coming in and out of the lineup which it mess up the rhythm of the team and the players

T-MAC is not and CANT be a role player(as of right now until he proves and changes) like shane battier and scola...AND even if he tries to pass the ball without doing alot of dribbling...it slows down the offense because he is USED to the ball in this hand all the time
#3. rick adelman's motion offense...his offense is basically the offense he used with the kings but with yao ming in it which he can draw double team from the post...run, cut, picks,screen, pass...its not 1-1 isolation offense...

artest does some crazy one of one stuff sometimes as well but he fits better than t-mac because he is physical and he is a good defender and he doesnt need the ball 60/70% of the times like t-mac...if t-mac is here then they going to be fighting for the ball and later on yao ming is not going to get any touches

the rockets can trade away t-mac and get a decent player (not a 1on1 star type player like kobe and lebron) to build around yao ming and ron artest then im sure they can get into the conference championship round/ final within a couple of years...yao ming + artest with the money of t-mac that can get one or two decent players can be better than having t-mac on the team...think about this...
