Ride of a lifetime ... can' t imagine anything more awesome except perhaps a ride in a fighter jet. But that might not be as fun as they don't have walls within inches the entire time!
As for the ride ... wow. I could feel my blood rush from the front of my body to the back when he launched the car out of the pits and then again onto the front straight. Then I could feel it go back when he hit the brakes for corner 1. The rest of the ride was great. I've been in a bunch of race cars at various tracks so knew what to expect but it's still mind boggling. THe acceleration through the 1st 3 gears is unbelievable while 4-6 are quite smooth. The brakes are tooth popping strong ...
... but what was really hard to fathom was the mechanical grip. Toronto isn't a track where downforce plays a huge role so the speed we took the slower corners at was simply amazing. The grip from the tires is simply hard to describe ... sort of like gum and glue on a running show on a hot day perhaps? Let's just say my neck starting cramping on the 3rd lap! I guarantee that anyone who says drivers aren't athletes will change their minds after a few laps in a 2-seater.
Got the ride by being in the right place at the right time. Original invited guest couldn't make it and I was near by! As for the footage I knew the people running Molstar who produced the world feed of the race.
awesome!

How did you get that ride!? And how did you get broadcast camera footage of it!!!! I love hearing the engines without the announcers!

I've known him for years. You think this was fun, you should see him in his twin engine shifter go-kart!
