Oh no no no my friend....alcohol only exacerbates the spiciness...yogurt, butter and clarified butter are the only ones that can tone down the heat. Water doesn't help either...
A friend of mine insisted I buy this sauce... The heat is extremely intense! I have to tell u that thus guy put so much on there was no way he could tell how delicious this sauce is. I literally put just 2 or 3 drops on an entire breakfast. The smokey flavor is so addictive and amazing. To be honest I wish the sauce wasn't as hot as it is because I love the flavor so much, I want to use more of it. I highly recommend it to anyone who can handle the pain because the taste is out of this world
@eFXeR I totally agree with you. Alot os smokiness from the peppers in this one as well as some of the beer characters coming through. A few drops in a pot of chili really goes a long way and helps to mellow out the burn.
@MrLon2011 Yeah this was the first! I dunno I thought since it was made with the 1050 there was a chance it would have flavor haha. The only flavor was burn though
Chris, this video triggered something I've wanted to ask for a while. When u are trying to taste & smell beer, what foods/drinks do u avoid and what foods do u use to keep the pallet nuetral (or enhance it) when getting ready for a review? I have trouble smelling an aroma of a beer while everyone at the table is getting it all (although I never have trouble smelling the chlorine in the cleaner that the bar uses in washing the glasses even after they have (hopefully) rinsed the glass). Funny vid!
@jimenezdc Before I review beers I will usually take a drink of cold water and eat a pretzel or something to get a neutral taste on the palate. Im not an expert on food pairings by any means and I usually use BA to give me suggestions on that. If I review a really hoppy beer though I always try to do them last so that they dont kill my palate before I get to try more beers.
Which Oskar Blues do you think is their best? I always see them at Total Wine, and have never tried one. I guess I think that anything in a can can't be good, but I'm sure that's not true.
God I can't stop laughing! That was hilarious. I lost it when I saw the heat kick in, looked like you ate a hornet on acident. Reminds me when I ate a Thai Dragon pepper after someone told me it was "pretty hot" and that was only 70000 scoville.
There is actually a new pepper out that beat the Naga Viper, which beat out the Ghost Chili. The new pepper is from Australia, called the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T.
Great vid, it made me laugh. If you want to combine the spicy and beer try a Chili Beer. I am sure you have heard of it before, you may not want to do it though since it is a novelty beer. I don't see any of those on your page.
@BeerGeekNation Gonna be heading out there towards the end of the month to do the same myself. I've had Flying Mouflan aged, but I'm dying to try it fresh after seeing your review.
Yeah, after the ghost chili (or Naga Jolokia) on the scoville scale its law enforcement pepper spray that is almost pure capsaicin xD But damn, last week one of my freinds dared me to eat a whole Habanero, and I thought that was spicy, I had the shits for 2 days xD But duuude you should drink milk, helps alot more. Fun video Chris! Cheers!
Chris, instead of water or beer, try milk to cool the heat. Water and beer will just spread the heat around your mouth again, while milk will help tame the heat. (You probably knew that already and were just trying to entertain us, right?)
That was pretty funny watching you douse that first cracker. I sat here saying to myself, "oh, that is waaaay too much! Just try a drop or two first."
Good stuff. Made me laugh almost as much as watching you polish off the 40-ounce for the challenge.
@jjgelaude Yeah I only had a little bit of milk left and I needed it for my sons breakfast so I didnt want to drink it. Yeah I knew it was way to much but I figured why not haha.

Lol the amount you put on that cracker would of spiced up a whole pot of stew. I'd of used the tip of a toothpick for a review like that. Cheers!

Actually the Ghost Chile is no longer the hottest. Check out the Naga. Sounds like my kinda hot sauce. Too bad you can't buy their beers online too.

You know, when eating hot foods I generally go with an Extra Pale Ale, because I end up throwing it down quick to cool me off.
