  • Thanks for the post :-) He is actually the same palomino horse with the tail swishing problem... unfortunately he came to us with that and it was one quirk we couldn't get him past. It is a good example of one of the things that happen to horses that are made to work by sticking a spur in them :-( It is also one of many reasons why the continuous spurring to "lift" the horse through the top line is a poor way to get a horse to collect, but don't get me started on that one '-)

    Vaya Con Dios

  • He looks like he has a bit of the tail swish that the previous palomino ya ll had. It looks like he is doing real well. Great setting to work horses in.

  • Amen.

  • I agree. AQHA western pleasure looks gross. the horses all look lame. literally. They look like they're limping. Gorgeous horse

  • Nice, really nice. Normal, natural head carriage (instead of "head set") good engagement of hocks, good, easy, free, unfettered gaits. Smart trainer, good natural horse, and I'll bet he took his time instead of rushing.

  • WHY can't AQHA western pleasure look more like this?? Lookie! A horse that is actually TRAINED instead of beaten and worn into submission. Looks like a lot of fun to ride! Wish Arabs could get back to Vaquero style, too. Gorgeous!

  • EXACTLY!!!!!
