I made it a point to ask Double K the story behind that beat at the last show I saw them at in Boston. He told me that I wasn't the first person to ask him about it. Not only was the beat cut from Stepfather, but they probably won't use it again since Pete Rock used the same sample for something else he did. It looks like us die-hards will have to just keep listening to this little clip.
