Luke may be gay but I don't get the same vibe from Noah. He might be bi. He is able to sleep with Maddie without problems but Luke had to get drunk everytime he had to even touch a girl.
Luke's bordering on desperation and don't say he's concerned about Noah's happiness. He's just sick of being alone and keeps hassling Noah. And if he's so concerned about maddie then he should stop trying to get into her boyfriend everytime their alone.
What are you talking about? Noah kissed Luke! Besides, Luke is very young. One of the aspects of his character is that he sees things in black and white. In his mind, Noah can't be happy with Maddie if he wants him. Also, Luke is concerned about Maddie. Question: if your boyfriend was kissing someone else, wouldn't you want to know? Noah cares for Maddie, but he is using her to get acceptance from his father. That's not fair and Luke would be a poor friend if he knew and didn't tell her.

It depends on the situation if you tell someone about another partner cheating. And the fact that Luke has the nerve to pretty much out Noah is just plain wrong. I think Luke was being a bit selfish in this scene. He's just saying all those things to pressure Noah so he can be with him. I know they're in love now, but Luke should've considered that Noah possibly might've been confused? Mind you, unlike Luke, Noah has had a hard life and is a very fragiled at person, leaving him to fall for Maddie (when his dad wasn't around), and eventually fall for Luke (post-pond). However if Noah was confused, he's just as selfish to ask Maddie to move in with him.

@BonnieHalfElven Sorry, but I stand by what I said. In VL, Oliver gave Christian all the time he needed. He even went as far as to tell him that he may not even be gay, but simply fallen for another man. Oliver really cared for Christian and that's why their relationship never lacked passion. Luke, on the other hand, completely manipulated Noah into thinking he's closeted without first trying to understand Noah's confusion. As I said before, Luke was only thinking of himself.
I love both couples, but it's not fair to compare Luke to Oliver. Oliver is an experienced adult who has had other relationships and someone walked him through coming out. Luke is an inexperienced teenager who had to figure it out for himself. In his mind, Noah kissed him, so he must be closeted. He jumped to the same conclusion w/Bryan and he definitely didn't want him. Immature and slightly selfish? Yes. He has a tendency to push too hard. But manipulative? I don't really think so.
I know "manipulate" is a tough word, but Luke Snyder is a tough person, and highly intelligent. Why do you think Luke got so jealous when Maddie came back during the holidays? That was the only time he brought up Noah and Maddie sleeping together. He knew very well that there was something real between them from the begining, but ignored it and continued to pressure Noah. If Luke being an inexperienced teenager is the reason, then he was in no position to "diagnose" someone else.

@dcat11114u Yes, you're right. Among younger males or younger people in general, "queer" is not offensive. I think it's a generational thing. Men of my generation, mostly hate it. It used to be a derogatory term. I was teased incessantly as a kid and called queer daily. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth after an experience like that. But... If others have adopted it as a synonym for "gay" that is their choice, and I don't make judgments about them. Thanks for your input.

What are you talking about? Noah kissed Luke! Besides, Luke is very young. One of the aspects of his character is that he sees things in black and white. In his mind, Noah can't be happy with Maddie if he wants him. Also, Luke is concerned about Maddie. Question: if your boyfriend was kissing someone else, wouldn't you want to know? Noah cares for Maddie, but he is using her to get acceptance from his father. That's not fair and Luke would be a poor friend if he knew and didn't tell her.

It is...He sees a chance at not being alone anymore and keeps pushing. It is not about Noah hurting Maddie but Luke not wanting to be alone. It depends on the situation if you tell someone about another partner cheating. And the fact that Luke has the nerve to pretty much out Noah is just plain wrong. I understand that Noah wants acceptance from his father, but Luke could handle it in a better way than he does. No one has the right to take that away from someone else, even if Noah did kiss him.

I think Luke was being a bit selfish in this scene. He's just saying all those things to pressure Noah so he can be with him. I know they're in love now, but Luke should've considered that Noah possibly might've been confused? Mind you, unlike Luke, Noah has had a hard life and is a very fragiled at person, leaving him to fall for Maddie (when his dad wasn't around), and eventually fall for Luke (post-pond). However if Noah was confused, he's just as selfish to ask Maddie to move in with him.

@BonnieHalfElven Sorry, but I stand by what I said. In VL, Oliver gave Christian all the time he needed. He even went as far as to tell him that he may not even be gay, but simply fallen for another man. Oliver really cared for Christian and that's why their relationship never lacked passion. Luke, on the other hand, completely manipulated Noah into thinking he's closeted without first trying to understand Noah's confusion. As I said before, Luke was only thinking of himself.

I love both couples, but it's not fair to compare Luke to Oliver. Oliver is an experienced adult who has had other relationships and someone walked him through coming out. Luke is an inexperienced teenager who had to figure it out for himself. In his mind, Noah kissed him, so he must be closeted. He jumped to the same conclusion w/Bryan and he definitely didn't want him. Immature and slightly selfish? Yes. He has a tendency to push too hard. But manipulative? I don't really think so.

I know "manipulate" is a tough word, but Luke Snyder is a tough person, and highly intelligent. Why do you think Luke got so jealous when Maddie came back during the holidays? That was the only time he brought up Noah and Maddie sleeping together. He knew very well that there was something real between them from the begining, but ignored it and continued to pressure Noah. If Luke being an inexperienced teenager is the reason, then he was in no position to "diagnose" someone else.
