The today HK amps are PIECE OF SHITS ! I also have HK, but the CITATION 21-pre and the CITATION 22-power amps. I will keep them FOR EVER ! OLD STUFF but the frequency range is: 0,5 Hz - 240-thousand Hz ! ! !

Show me any todays made 5,1 or 7,1 amp producing the SAME SOUNDSTAGE ! - NOT EXIST ! The today power amps have 2-4 output transformers. Mine have 16 ! ! ! What a HUGE different in the qualiti ! 5,1-7,1 = GARBAGES !

those larger subs are most likely powered as this is only a 2 channel reciever...

2 channel yes but he probably has one set hooked to speaker a and one set to b. This receiver definately has the power and current to do it well and clean.
