why does the description say single GPU, yet your list states x2 6870's?
I just specced a PC with a single 6870, I was wondering what type of performance I'd get with it. I'm contemplating getting a second, to run crossfire. However 28mn GPU's are around the corner.
@thecooker241 Oh, I'm sorry I didn't made it clear for all of you. I do have 2 GPU's (HD6870 Crossfire) But in the beta only ONE of them worked properly. (Tested with MSI Afterburner)
BF3 runs smooth with HD6870 Crossfire, all settings on HIGH!
I have a Powercolor hd6870 phenom || x6 3.2 ghz and 8gigs of 1333 MHz ram, I can run bf3 beta at max with 25-50 fps. I wanted to improve performance but I don't know which would be best, an ssd or 16gigs of 1600mhz cl9 blu ram?
Also, is there any point in upgrading to a 6950 for the price? Or should I keep the 6870? Thanks!! Great vid btw:)
@switchblade1291 I actually have no idea about that. I've read many different things about that, but I do feel the difference between 60- fps and 60+ fps.
@mopower2505 You mean the GPU fans? I's three fans on each GPU, so that would be 6 fans + 3 other fans. Front panel, CPU fan and a fan at the back of my computer.
Uhm, and I think it's about 58 celsius while playing. (The temperature depends if I have crossfire or not, but a single GPU would be like 58 celsius I think)
@1995t12 Between 60-75FPS on medium. It can handle ultra, but i prefer good fps instead of awesome quality. But I actually have two HD6870, but only one works with BF3 right now. But I'll upload a new clip when crossfire is enabled. :)

@alebabakebaba you could easly run this on ultra settings. with 1 HD 6870. and get around roughly around 40-60 FPS.

@taylorgp1234 Yeah, but as I wrote. I rather play in lower quality with good FPS, and with "good" I mean 60+

@alebabakebaba why i thought humans can only see up to 40fps

@1995t12 I bought them like a month ago, so I haven't really tried them out yet. But they run smooth in Crysis 2 at least!
