  • Haahahahahahahjajajah. Is really funny Iam a Muslim and I don't have a reason to love my enemy here is the reason Example guy come to your house and kill your wife and your Mather and your children If you are a Muslim like me you will kill him and who ever with him the enemy. But if you are a Christian you have to love him and help him to kill your whole family I didnt said that your bible said that

  • Thank U LORD

  • Thank you.

  • I guess the U.S. government has never followed this message since we have had wars since forever.

  • @nosimpin1 Or the British. Our governments are controlled by the people that could not accept Christ's word. I must pray for them.

  • Comment removed

  • Very good video as usual. GOD bless you Mark:)

  • Though loving enemies is a great way to be a witness, I disagree that this is the primary purpose. Loving our enemies is yet another way that we get to become more and more like Christ. It's about letting Got take away the hate, filling the void with love. When that happens, you see your enemies in a different light. You begin to see things that used to anger you as the actions of beloved, lost sheep, whose actions are saddening. In this, we come closer to God in prayer for them.

  • excellent video =)

  • To all who have left a comment stating difficulty in loving your enemies, of your own strength you will NEVER love your enemies, for you cannot love your enemies...With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. (Mat 19:26)

John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

  • Wonderful presentation, brother...Amen!

@mphlohi, loving one's enemies does not mean the eradication of justice. Love and justice are not mutually exclusive...in fact, one cannot truly exist without the other.

  • Well if you don't show your enemies there are consequences for their wrongful actions, they'll likely go on thinking they can do the same to other innocents and get away with it....eventually they could cause enough harm to seriously hurt or even kill some innocent or end up finally not getting away with it one day and face serious harm or execution themselves. By at least seeing they get punished somehow, you'd be protecting other innocents from harm and giving enemies chance to be absolved.

  • To be honest I don't always love my enemies- that is the truth and I don't always pray for my enemies. I would be lying if I said I follow the commandments of our Lord perfectly all the time. I prefer to avoid conflict as much as I can, but I admit I have gotten into heated debates on youtube- then repented, apologized and prayed to God about it.

Since we left Saskatchewan last summer and our Home Bible study friends, I don't socialize that much- I prefer to stay away from most people.

  • @ProphetNPrairie Are you back into a Bible study in your new home?

  • I have to repent of my anger whenever some person spouts off replacement theology nonsense or dominion theology nonsense- taking the dog for a walk to the river and praying about it helps me cool down . I am still a bit of a hot head. Shalom Shalom my brother.

  • Amen :)

  • HaHo !!! Most people think they should retaliate, with excuses...When one srikes back and refuses to repent, they have not known God...God is Love. Yeshua did not fight...he loved his enemies. We should walk as He walked. It is easy for someone to say love your enemies...But the real test will come one day...will we past the test ?

  • i love my enemies in a a way when i got in a fight i still loved them but we gatta do wat we gatta do

  • This assumes that our enemy is an unbeliever, but what if our enemy is also a brother or sister in the Lord?.

  • Hey Carol,

That is the reason why i made a companion video titled "Love One Another", it deals with that very issue.

    God bless.

  • umm what about the devil hes an enemie?

  • Jesus was talking about other human beings around us, not the devil. We are definitely supposed to hate the devil to the fullest extent.

  • don't stick to Christians, all of mankind needs to understand these teachings

  • FAVORITING THIS VIDEO

  • hahahah this is pathetic

  • lOVES YOU ENEMIES...

    HMMM BEUTIFULL...

THANKS JESUS FOR TEACHING US THE HEART OF FORGIVENESS...

    PEACE FROM INDONESIA..

  • /watch?v=pzp1McGeQnU&feature=user

  • THANK YOU. I had reached my last nerve with my neighbor and I was just about to strangle her. After watching this, I am reminded that God is the master, not me. So thanks again. My neighbor is still alive and I am not in jail. Amen.

  • :-)

  • Just curious, why the change from full-screen to wide screen?

  • Great Message from the Lord, brother Mark. God bless you.

  • Good message, Mark. Love is not about hugs and kisses- it's really about self-denial and endurance. God bless you, brother.

  • amen, but what a hard truth

  • Another Excellent video Mark. I really enjoy all of your videos. God Bless :)

  • Do you love me Mark?

  • Friend,i am commanded to love those people who i disagree with,i have no choice.

  • i find it hard to Love our Enemies...

Let God help us do that.. it's not easy.

  • Thank you brother Mark. I really needed to hear this. May the Lord continue to use you for his greater glory.

  • Praise God for such words of clear scriptural truth. Also, thank you, Mark, for always presenting the gospel of peace with God in each message.

  • Brother,i have the same faults as you! as i said in one of my comments,i was truly convicted while preparing the message.God's blessings to you and your wonderful ministry.

  • We can consider this WORDS OF JESUS..as the most important comandaments He gave us..

There is one weapon which can win the enemy of our souls "the LOVE"..and their derivates:

    the light,the forgiven,the repentence,....

If ther is a thing the enemy can stand is a man(woman)which forgive and love their enemies..in all the time..and above all, such things make glad the heart of God..

    another excelllllent message bro Mark..

    YHWH blesss you always..

  • Amen brother Helton,well said!

  • Thank you - we would do well to keep this in mind always -

  • Amen Mark!

Thank you so much for provided these wonderful messages for everyone to listen to!

I pray that God will bless you for the wonderful works you are doing!!

  • very good video brother keep up the great work for the kingdom of God

  • It is true Mark... Only by the power of the Spirit of God.. as His love is shed abroad in our hearts.. Let us all examine ourselves.

  • Amen Bill.

  • Amen Brother Mark! This is a commandment that the world can never understand , but is evidence of the Spirit of God within us when we obey his Word. I am always blessed by your video's, God Bless You.

  • You're absolutely right and good on you for recording and posting.

  • Thanks Mark.

Yeah it seems these days people don't want to read that part of the Bible. I never understood when people would say "I just bought a gun for home security" (BTW, these are believers). I was one of them before the Lord came and made all things new.

Now I have the feeling that if someone came to kill me the Lord will protect me. If it be His will for me to pass then Amen, I accept. Whatever brings the most glory to my Lord is the path I want even if it is my physical death.

  • Whoa! wait a minute here about your anti-gun comment...... have you heard of self-defense? A Christian, if he is truly a Christian, cannot defend himself or his family or others?

Do you avoid taking antibacterials when you have an infection?

  • This comment was directed to a previous poster, who talked about people buying guns for home and self defense.

  • (Matt 5:38-42) Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

  • And of a man come to rape and murder your 5 year old daughter allow him to have her?

  • In response to that statement that comes from flesh... I did not write the Bible nor am I anything without my Lord. But He is Lord of my life, my family, and everything that was called mine. He is first and everything else is last. I don't question Him for my flesh is wicked without Him. I trust Him so I will not worry about such things. Have Faith in your Lord.

  • Defend or no defense both are good but I would be leary of guns around kids. To keep from accidental shootings would mean locking it up...and who's to say you would be able to get it quickly during an attack if it's locked up? Choose another weapon-Weapon or not the outcome of an attack is still God's control. My uncle was murdered and if God wanted to he could have caused the attackers to drop dead at the door before the murder took place like Ananias and Sapphira. We all must trust God.

  • Do we trust in the Lord's soverign power? If we do how can we say "I will use a gun for home protection"? Yes, we may be killed, hated, and mocked but that is to be expected.

"Remember the word that I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me." John 15:20-21

  • I trust in the Lord' soverign power but I also am known to wear a seat belt. Having firearms around for personal and other protection is a VERY good idea. What did Christ mean when he said "he who hath not a sword let him sell his cloak and but one? " And then (Peter if I am correct) produced 2 swords and the Lord said "That is Enough!" Did he mean that they should not have carried swords? What was the meaning of this exchange? Reponding to insults vs. self defense?

  • "For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." (Romans 13:9-10)

We are to take the whole of scripture; not pick out one verse to make our case... Remember when satan tempted Jesus.

  • Geneva Study Bible: "(m) He says all this using an allegory, as if he said, O my friends and fellow soldiers, you have lived until now in relative peace: but now there is at hand a most severe battle to be fought, and you must therefore lay all other things aside and think about dressing yourselves in armour. And what this armour is, is shown by his own example, when he prayed afterward in the garden and reproved Peter for striking with the sword."

  • People's New Testament:

22:36 He that hath no sword, let him... buy one. Not to be taken literally, but a striking way of saying that enemies upon every side will assail them.

    Wesley's Notes:

22:36 But now - You will be quite in another situation. You will want every thing. He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one - It is plain, this is not to be taken literally. It only means, This will be a time of extreme danger.

  • There isn't any commentary out there that takes it the way you mentioned above... Please understand I was of this same opinion before the Lord came to me in a mighty way. I now see everything differently. Peace brother.

  • faxchase: "Please understand I was of this same opinion before . . ."

    I agree with RENFEMikado's objections.

My wife and I believe that we have a right to defend ourselves at appropriate times and in reasonable ways. For instance, each of us has a shotgun which we can use in case of a home invasion emergency. Also, we plan to continue working out and advancing our martial arts training for the sake of "on the spot" defense as our circumstances allow us to do so.

  • I agree with you. If we hold either stance I believe Christ is cool with that. Defend yourself or choose not to carry a defense. It's up to you. If you have full faith God is protecting you, you don't need a gun, and God will by his powerful hand cause you to live or die according to his will and purpose, cool. If you feel you need to protect your family because you want them to continue living after an attack, cool. Gun or no gun the outcome will always be in God's control.

  • yeh...right.....

  • @faxchase The Lord also gives us discernment. If you want a gun, you can have one, but the problem lies when we make it a false sense of security. I remember someone telling me how active they were in notifying their neighbors about registered sex offenders. Little did they know that most sexual abusers are within your family or people you know, not those who are registered. Once again, they had a false sense of security for these notifications.

  • many have this message in their mind but not in their heart... greetings

  • I think this is possibly the best teaching you guys have ever done and one of the hardest for most who claim the Lord's name to embrace.

  • Brother,it is very difficult for me and i constantly have to ask the Lord for help in carrying it out.I was convicted while preparing it.

  • Brother Mark gives us a great measurement of our walk of faith! The highest standards of living IN THE SPIRIT are in this Sermon on the Mount. We must not fool ourselves as followers of the Lord. If we fall short on these then we are in the flesh and not the Spirit. Take Marks sermon as a wake up call...a tune up! Are we living His life by God the Spirit? If not, then we know what to do to live His life!

  • Thank you for your kind words Chaim, you are always a blessing to me.

  • Thanks for the video, Mark.

  • Thanks Mark, We all need to be reminded of this commandment!

  • You guys get a new camera?

  • New computer.

  • point is good but you cant love those who is doing much bad to you, (We Wont Forget We Wont Forgive).

It's to hard to me :)

  • Friend,we cannot do it in our strength but through the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • A great message, brother, one that I needed.

    May God bless you.

    dentex

  • God's blessings to you brother and thank you for the kind word.
