So okay, he didn't defeat Itachi in a all out fair fight. It was part of Itachi's master plan, we all know that. But here are some things he did do. Fight on par with multiple Kage's at the summet, defeat Danzo, one of the oldest, and toughest Leaf Village elders. Even if Itachi could beat Sasuke he's one tough dude.

Sasuke didn't kill itachi. Itachi was suffering from an incurable disease but he managed to live a few more years through medicines and sheer willpower just as to let sasuke get stronger and fight him. After that, when sasuke got stronger and was freed of his cursed seal. Itachi let it look like sasuke killed him but in reality he died because of his illness. Itachi could have owned sasuke anytime anyways.

Sasuke's EMS: More then just power?

I have a theory , it's that when Sasuke got Itachi's eyes he got more then just power and the EMS. I have a theory that Sasuke is going to get some of Itachi's personality along with it.

Now i don't know what traits Sasuke will get, but it's just a theory...or maybe Itachi left something behind in the eyes so when Sasuke get's then Itachi appears and talks to his brother, similar to how the fourth did it with Naruto.

@pelemashinica *SPOILERS AHEAD* Actually He didn't plan on getting revived he planned on using Shisui's eye on Sasuke since it had the protect kohonha genjutsu implanted in it. He planned that if Sasuke didn't listen to him and joined madara he would most likely want the eternal mangkeyo sharingan and take his eyes thus he made the genjutsu respond to his eyes. So basically when naruto and sauke were going to fight the genjutsu would have kicked in and sasuke would have joined naruto, good plan.

I think Sasuke's ability to continually create allies after repeatedly betraying so many is a feat by itself. And Itachi didn't want to win. He would have if Sasuke wasn't ready, but he didn't want to win.

I'm personally under the opinion Madara didn't do anything to Danzo period. Danzo was screwed. The warning, however, was fair game, since Danzo was done by that point.
