@druidboy01 the prime series is set several years after the events on zebes so they probably did change their suits. (I only know this from a walk through I got with prime 1).

Just a tip though. It's not really a spoiler, but I don't want people to get disappointed like I did: You cannot access the epilogue in Hard Mode for no apparent reason. The game never saves after the "final" boss. Maybe they did this because the extra boss would be impossible. I can understand that, but still.
It feels like a kick in the balls. Still a fine game.
Oh I love this game yeah. That sucks if heard mode doesn't have Phantoon thought. I hope the next game will be longer, and have better game play. Ever play 007 Everything or Nothing? That would be beast. I would also like more free exploration.
@3rdSamurai I think they've kept the game on the short side to keep the cost on the game as low as possible. I mean, they took a HUGE risk. They took risks in any way possible: Innovative gameplay, making Samus finally talk, revealing the person behind the suit, teaming up with Ninja Gaiden! If only more companies would try to take risks like that.
As you said, if would be nice if the game had more exploring and gameplay time.
And damn, it looks like I missed out on a great 007 game.

Really is dreadful. Worse still is the resi 4, fixed, over the shoulder mode where you can only trudge at snail's pace with no firing. And the way Adam tells you when you can use your suit power ups is daft. That great feeling you used to get when you found an upgrade...out the window!!! Ur suit is fully powered at the start and out of respect for Adam, ul only use ur powers when he says so...WHY?? Why would he not let u to use a grapple beam for half the game?? STUPID! I am enjoying it though.
After playing another few hours it strikes me that it's more like a God of War style game than a Metroid. Very linear, no need to explore much at all, except when trying to get extra missiles. Enjoying it but a few things I detest. The "forced" 1st person parts where you have to look around and find a "clue" to unlock the next cutscene is downright awful. 2 or 3 times I was ripping my hair out for 20 minutes. Thought I must've had a dodgy copy. tbc
Played well into Sector 1 now. Lovin this game. Very un-Metroid though. Once you get used to the point and shoot mechanic in 1st person it all makes sense. Really wished it was played with nunchuck though. What wouldve been wrong with using nunchuk and holdin wiimote sideways, pointing away from screen... Then for 1st person, point wiimote towards screen . . . and you wont be rooted to spot coz you could move with nunchuk. Wouldve been much slicker... Still, really enjoying it so far.
No offense to this series whatsoever but why do they keep making these in-between-quels? Like Metroid Prime took place after Metroid 1 but before Metroid 2: Return of Samus and the Prime games carried on after that game, then they made Metroid Hunters which took place between Prime 1 and Prime 2, now this story takes place between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. Why not set a story after Fusion, don't get me wrong I like prequels and in-between-quels and all that but I want the next chapter.
@ScarPredator040365 well i actually like that they made a gome of samus past, i meani think they should even make 1 when she was 100% in the federation because she says (in the trailers) that she was once in the federation(something that every metroid fan already knows) but i think that after this there should be a prequel of fusion but 4 know i actually prefer this.i think its better to know how is samus and then we will know why she is doing what she does.
@Kakuzu626 I'm sorry I just feel like prequels and in-between-quels are wasting time going backwards when they should be going forwards. For example, the Alien series is making two prequels to the first movie but I feel that is a waste of time. What they should do is make an Alien movie that takes place after the second movie while ignoring 3, 4, and both the AVPs.

Played well into Sector 1 now. Lovin this game. Very un-Metroid though. Once you get used to the point and shoot mechanic in 1st person it all makes sense. Really wished it was played with nunchuck though. What wouldve been wrong with using nunchuk and holdin wiimote sideways, pointing away from screen... Then for 1st person, point wiimote towards screen . . . and you wont be rooted to spot coz you could move with nunchuk. Wouldve been much slicker... Still, really enjoying it so far.

No offense to this series whatsoever but why do they keep making these in-between-quels? Like Metroid Prime took place after Metroid 1 but before Metroid 2: Return of Samus and the Prime games carried on after that game, then they made Metroid Hunters which took place between Prime 1 and Prime 2, now this story takes place between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. Why not set a story after Fusion, don't get me wrong I like prequels and in-between-quels and all that but I want the next chapter.

@ScarPredator040365 well i actually like that they made a gome of samus past, i meani think they should even make 1 when she was 100% in the federation because she says (in the trailers) that she was once in the federation(something that every metroid fan already knows) but i think that after this there should be a prequel of fusion but 4 know i actually prefer this.i think its better to know how is samus and then we will know why she is doing what she does.

@Kakuzu626 I'm sorry I just feel like prequels and in-between-quels are wasting time going backwards when they should be going forwards. For example, the Alien series is making two prequels to the first movie but I feel that is a waste of time. What they should do is make an Alien movie that takes place after the second movie while ignoring 3, 4, and both the AVPs.

Man samus finally moves like she has to move i mean in the metroid prime series(example) she only shoots and she isnt fast at all, in other games shes fast and shoots but she isn't exactly all beast, but know she shows her real power i mean she has that great armor with all those benefits and she is finally using them.

i wonder what the plot is because why the hell are there space pirates? Space pirates only appear when there something of great value like phazon or metroids but so far there hanst been a single metroid what so ever but as i recall the last metroid was killed so any ideas what the plot might be?

Who knows? They might not actually be THE Space Pirates at all.
Fusion pulled this once before if you remember; the X Parasites somehow got their DNA and formed their appearance and abilities.

Does anyone know if u can play the whole game in third person? I want to have a shadow complex like experience with this game. It looks like from some trailers that u have to switch to first person to do certain actions. Hope I am wrong.

Im sooooooooOOO fucking ready for this game to come out. I cannot wait for it. Just thinking about it makes me all giddy and wanting more.
Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden games were amazing, and with Nintendo teaming with them, we'll most likley have an epic adventure that will be one of the best in the series.
I have my hopes up. I have money ready to run to walmart stright after school ends to pick it up, then to play it on end skiping homework till I get to school the next day.

@Infinite101001 The Japanese language has no way of ending a word with a "sss" sound, as in "samus", similar to the way English has no way of making a "tongue click" sound or a "shh" sound (using only one letter).
Even though her name is officially "Samus", Japanese people can't write or pronounce this easily, so like many other words, an extra sound is added on the end for "ease of use" you could say.
"Samusu"... "sa" "mu" "su".
