Is Ontario mostly flat plains? Are there any areas w/ mountains? How many months per year is there snow on the ground. I'd love to bail out of the US since i have 2 young children and their future here is pretty dim.
Depends on what you consider a mountain! Ishpatina Ridge is the highest point, at 2,300 ft. A more hospitable, rolling range would be Blue Mountain to the South: warmer summers, but because its close to Georgian Bay you get a lot of lake effect snow. No matter where you live in Ontario, you're going to get a winter, which generally runs from late November to March/early April...( Video poster: Nice slldeshow!)
