although the reaction was fairly loud, there is still no passion. I looked HARD and could not find 1 team USA sweater worn inside that place. Now go find a video of Canadians watching it that aren't covered in red and white, many with face paint. I want usa to succeed in hockey and be Canada's top rival rather than Russia, they just need the citizens to get more on board. Like stated, hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

@Vanc3y84 I believe it is. I think the country as a whole is starting to realized what a great sport hockey is. I live in Florida (yeah, FLORIDA) and I'm beginning to see a big spark of interest as far as hockey goes. The panthers development camp this season even included a few guys who lived right in the area. I believe the USA is definitely taking a step in the right direction, and look forward to having you guys as rivals for a long time ahead!

USA is better then canada! Canada should be embarrassed! usa had to round up the only 15 players in the nhl and make them a team, where canada got to handpick their allstars. USA beat them once and canada got lucky and squeaked by them the 2nd. 1st goal- a unforced turnover on USA, 2nd goal-puck getting a perfect deflection on someones leg and landing right into the slot, 3rd goal- hitting the refs skate to set up the give and go. Team USA is better. They beat canada 9-10 times

USA should be embarrassed they only won 9 Gold medals while Canada won 14 at the Vancouver Olympics. With a population of 300 million, you would think they would have far-superior athletes (And more gold medals) compared to Canada who have to choose athletes with a population 10X smaller than the States. @musicm7 That tired argument is stupid because it's a logical fallacy. Canada and the USA are NOT on even ground when it comes to the Winter Olympics. Even if we have 300 million people, a good majority of our athletes from that 300 mil DO NOT play winter sports. They focus on football, mostly, as well as basketball and soccer. Canada has more hockey players in its country than the USA, in terms of percentages and overall number. If you wanna talk "sad", what's sad is that the game was so close.

Most of the United States is very hot, not exactly breeding grounds for great hockey players. Canada, however, is generally all around cold. Finally, hockey is Canada's NATIONAL FUCKING SPORT. In the USA, it is a far 4th most popular sport. So, shut the fuck up with the condescending bullshit about how it's "sad" we lost.
