the cruiser wasnt in 4-lo. With the 80 series in 4-lo the front and rear differential lock to have true 4wd. So i doubt the driver knew what he was doing. They are called Tokyo Land Crushers for a reason. not some pos chrysler product. I loved jeeps until chrysler got ahold of them.

@JustJeepin666 they have ups and downs, I own an unlimited but I know that a 2 door can clear steeper arches and obsticals and junk, but I can handle higher grades and mud better.

All else being equal, the heavier vehicle (Land Cruiser) will win this competition. The Cruiser's tires are spinning because it either has crappy tires or a crappy driver. On a uniform surface, there is no other way for the heavier vehicle to be spinning its tires like that.
A dump truck would smoke either of them no problem in this test. Doesn't mean it's better in the bush. Take them both out and see which one gets stuck first. See which breaks down first. That's how you test these.

the cruiser wasnt in 4-lo. With the 80 series in 4-lo the front and rear differential lock to have true 4wd. So i doubt the driver knew what he was doing. They are called Tokyo Land Crushers for a reason. not some pos chrysler product. I loved jeeps until chrysler got ahold of them.

well whoever was driving should have put it in 4lo. i dont understand why you wouldnt in a tug-o-war. second yotas arent necessarily crap cars, it just takes alot for them to be worth anything. jeeps on the otherhand have been around since the earth was created and will never leave.
the only differences in wht makes tug-o-wars is gearing, lockers (no LSD bullshit), and low end torque. my trail rig wrangler (YJ) can pull both of those in 2hi
