removed mean comment- I was annoyed at time- But believe promoting drugs is unwise- I've seen bad effects over many years- one drug leads to another- I've seen thugs indulge in psychedelics and cheerfully use violence while tripping- psychds are subjective and not a panacea- the devastating effects of drugs hits hardest on lowest level of society- i believe the participants in this vid lead privileged lives and are blind to the harm they are encouraging

I haven't seen the film, but Ron Mann's treatment of the world of mushrooms is rather superficial in this interview. Through the work of Dr. Wasson, the famous ethnobotanist, we were shown that indeed there are cultures which fear mushrooms (English), and there are cultures which love mushrooms (Russians). But this does not mean that North Americans fear mushrooms. They are simply uneducated about them. As a mycophile, my own picking, eating,and growing experiences have been positive.
