This video is incoherent - I have no idea what it is trying to say. Apparently, Alex Jones was rude and violating free speech rights by interrupting the speaker who had already listened to him when he had his turn. But, he is "controversial" and sells books and products to make millions....THAT is how Alex has sold out.
that was just a small part of a doc film we produced. Here is a link to part 1 of the documentary. This will lay it out for you more clearly. Alex was just one loud voice in a much larger battle.
"Economic development tool," eh? I wouldn't trust something like that, either. And she probably is paid off, one way or another. Isn't everyone these days? "Economic development tool" is a good description of most people.
I miss AMN...in fact, I wore one of my AMN t-shirts yesterday. What I miss are the good people like Louis Meyers who actually cared about good music and the great music scene that WAS Austin...now we have people like...hmm...shouldn't say that here. Wouldn't wanna get blacklisted and not be able to play around here anymore.
Natalie Zoe has worked in Austin as a musician since the 1970's. She is not on the take, as Mr. Jones seems to imply. Alex Jones comes across in this clip as a bully, which is how he often comes across from what I've seen. What happened to civil discourse? She never gets the opportunity to speak uninterrupted.
The Art of Music Caught in the middle of a fundamental change in ideology and attutude toward FREE SPEECH which always affects artists first. Like canaries in a coalmine the artist and musicians of a society are the first to feel the effects of an erosion of guaranteed freedoms.
