  • Perfectly stated, Mr. Wyman.

  • I think he's talking about Justin Beiber.

  • @pbmax basically every musician from the past 5-10 years is like this. Kesha is another artist who does this.

  • The old Jazz guys from the 30's and 40's used to talk about the Stones in the same way that Bill talks here.

  • Bill is absolutely 100% correct!! Most music today is corporate run manufactured crap. It's a pretty face or another teeny bopper hitting the airwaves and we are supposed to swallow it. What ever happened to all the great rock and R&B groups? People who write their own songs and play their own instruments?? All gone and taken over by corporations who sponser American Idol. It's just ashame. I feel sorry for the new generation......

  • @Dean100able please do feel sorry for us, it's so hard to get a break

  • genius

  • Right as rain ol' Bill is, An underrated bass player, always was and what he brought to the Stones is sorely missed. He got tired of the whole schtick I guess, If more had done the same (walk away when it's not happening) like he did, maybe Morrison might be writing screen plays and poems. He wanted out of the DOORS but Ray talked him into 6 more months after the Mojo was gone. He didn't give a shit anymore. They got one more classic album out of Jim though, the Stones haven't done much w/o Bill

  • Bill, a very humble, true to his word nobleman! :0)

  • cool

  • very true!!!!

  • YES and he would know, being at the top for decades, what it's about

  • True true true so true!

  • So true. This is the reason why so few bands last these days. Without some musical chops, song writing skills and genuine talent, you're at the mercy of hired song writers, sessions players, record execs and a fickle public. Once you fall out of vogue (usually within a 2-3 yr period), your career is pretty much finished and you're left with whatever money you've earned (often very little due to touring, shoddy contracts and other expenses)

  • "Manufactured Bands ...." Wyman nailed it, and it's the reason we get nothing but junk music for the most part today ....

  • god... i know how bill feels about the kids with music. Im 17, i dont play the music hes talking about, hes my influence with my music. i love the stones, and i play because i love it. if i dont get rich playing, oh well, i do it for the music.

  • Amazing.....the dude looks younger these days than he did in '63.

Old Bill looks well after himself ;]

  • bill and brian are my favorite stones

  • Amen brother.

  • Would be great to hear the whole interview!

  • he speaks the truth. Bill is so down to earth. Visit his "Sticky Fingers Cafe" in London. Great restaurant. lot's of Stones memorphilia all around.

  • i would love to visit that restaurant! the place looks cool from the website.i sure hope they keep that place open 4 ever.someday i want to visit london and see it.other then that i have seen hard rock cafes and planet hollywood...just not the same thing:-(

  • anddatsdegawdsawfuffarkndehardtruth.....most of you young cats today cant play and never will be able to..long live da bill and long live da Stones.....go check out de black Crowes when dey started mon lol

  • Everything he said is completely true!

    Come back, Bill!
