i tryed a hole lot of mochi here in the states where i live. i am not a big fan of it. i like alot of japanses food, but just not the mochi. and i do not like japanese curry its too hot for me to eat lol
So many ways to eat mochi, but my favorite is baking the mochi and then putting it in the hot broth my mom makes. Just have to be careful not to choke on it. Come close to the mochi getting stuck several times, but I keep eating it every year.

i love mochi especially the chocolate ones. I'll be put off by the multicoloured ones if they were to ever contain e numbers.

I love mochi. There is a store in Tokyo called Mochi Cream which has some amazing fillings like custard pudding.

My neighbour used to make mochi every year. That pounding never seemed to stop all day. Still, it was cool!

Those are really pretty but are they like the dry tasteless rice cakes dieters/health conscience people eat here in the states?

Pretty cool looking. Did they make them into a certain flower to represent each season (Spring Summer Fall Winter) for the end of the year?
