Azhar is surely one of the top five Indian batsmen of all time. The others to complete the list would be Yuvraj, Sachin, Dhoni, and Sehwag. For test the list would also include Gavaskar and Dravid. Azhar is also the best fielder that India has ever produced.

inODIs sachin, sourav (i've never liked him but his record says everything), dravid(you might disagree here but his record and match winning matches go in his favor), among yuvraj, sehwag, azhar and dhoni, it is difficult to decide since they are all in thier own way and three of them are still playing; time)! kaif, yuvraj, raina and Jadeja are my bets for best fielders,azhar was a better fielder too! In test dont forget laxman and amarnath!

But both laxman and azhar are a treat to watch

I agree with you with, but with slight deviation. For one dayers, Dhoni, Sachin, Azhar, Yuvraj, Sehwag, Kambli, Dravid, Sourav (he got that record in one dayer because he was opener and that applies to Sachin as well.). I felt Yuvraj was best one day batsman ever to play for India, but I had to put him down for his susceptibility to spin.

For tests, Sehwag, Sachin, Dravid, Gavaskar, Azhar, Laxman, Vishwanth, Vengsarkar. Yuvraj could go up the ladder with time.

I used to love Kambli, he was really nice but i think either he was not given enough chances or he didnt utilized what he was given!

Yuvraj is a great talent but he lacks focus and the hunger(he is often involved off-field affairs; i think he should get married;)! He is lovely to watch though, he has got nice style, timing and clean hitting ability! I would have the same list for test! I think Gambhir can also go up the ladder looking at his consistency and footwork and change of gears!
