wow, i was at this gig i remember the sound in st georges hall was amazing! this was the gig were jools holland pulled up on a motorbike and theh interviewed the bunnymen in their fave cafe and it was shown on the tube..[80s tv show] i think the footage is on here [u tube] somewere .....
If you like this then you will like the band I manage, The Ran-Tan Waltz.. Hyped by NME, major support slots last/this year, 2 big London shows coming up in April. New EP released on Philophobia Records etc... Vids on the youtube profile x
Happy Anniversary Crystal Day - good memories, the Georges Hall was literally bouncing up and down... "Fyffes bananas"... sheer wit. Hope and pray the rest of this gig didnt end up on the cutting room floor and we`ll see the whole thing one day.

Yeah, when he pointed into the audience during the "light my fire" part....it's a little known fact that it was me he was pointing at. True story. lol...I wish.
Sounds nothing like LA Woman. The only similarity between Jim Morrison and Ian McCulloch was that Doors tunes were in an easy range for Ian, so he sang them. Ian had one of the best voices in rock at this time. Ever. Period. But musically, totally different tonalities and writing styles.

Good ear -- very much Doors, though I'd liken it more to Take it Easy from the Doors debut.

that wills using on his guitar.
like in general not just in this song
it would be a great help cheers
bunbunnies 2 years ago
I think he mostly uses compression and delay pedals. I don't know though. That man can make a guitar sound like anything.
alfredjames123 2 years ago
Some Delays And chorus i think, ( i think analog delays will get you closer to his sound, but they are more expensive so...)

The references to Suzan from leonard Cohen don't make that song great, what makes this song great is that no one want to listen.
adevezar 3 years ago
What happen to that band?
They were so great.
I remember that my first LP i bought was Heaven up Here.
today they are so obnoxious.
Crocodiles is not a great song. But, best then any all 2008 songs.
To me, i said to me.
I said to me.
adevezar 3 years ago
EATB obnoxious? Come one! Listen again.
Xiroi87 3 years ago
I listened.
What happened to this so great band?
It was my question.
You didn't answer.
By the way.
adevezar 3 years ago
Apparently you just don't get it.
Xiroi87 3 years ago
i don't really like their newer stuff either. their first four albums are great though.
teenagelobotomy14 2 years ago
as Xiroi8 said their first albuns are great. 4 Lp's to me. Since that they lost their way.
May be they found new entertainments.
I don't know.
