Why do people think Americans have accents, Americans speak plain ass English, the only thing you might consider and accent is slang, and slang is ignorant and improper English, I'm not saying don't use it or know it, but there's a limit to things. With accents, you can't help but speak that way because it's in your DNA, slang is made up, street talk, they choose to speak that way. Try getting a job using that "accent" while speaking to your employer.
