almost all galaxies have a supermassive black hole and scientists believe that the hole and galaxy are somewhat brothers born at the same time and probably will end at the same time billions of ions from now
So this is prolly a stupid question with the answer right in front of my face somewhere...but why is it that the galaxy is flat, as are most galaxy as far as im aware of? It seems sort of odd to me that everything would just happen to end up in a rather planar orbit around a spherical object...explanations or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Well (thatguy431) dont believe everything you hear. If you look back, to the greeks, and look at their model of the atom you will find that, it is far from the model we have today. Now our model of the universe could be wrong despite all of our technology. Besides that its just perspective, if you were to be facing the big dipper, looking at it from the handle side, it would then of course be nothing more then a group of stars.

Nope a blackhole is a cosmic terrorist.
justawordaway 3 years ago
I said its the sun of all suns in the sense that all suns revolve around a black hole...as planets revolve around a sun.

a singularity, and that's just infinite density. I think we really just don't know and that's where our understanding ends. HTH
