Hi Cizzu! On this film we shot on an Canon XL2. It's a good DV cam.
If it's your first time making a movie, you should think of the weight of the cam. The heavier, the better suitet for hand held. If it's a small one, you should get a tripod.
But in the end, you can use everything. David Lynch's last feature "Inland Empire" was shoot on Sony PD 150, a cheap and quite light camera and a not very good DV cam. And he used auto focus, and a lot of hand held....
