From what i`ve seen on newer videos, Emil does pretty damn good, even on the old songs, but this is just... horrible. Comepare it to, say, Al and Chris playing this live @ Amoeba, THAT`S how this song should sound. SLOW.THE.FUCK.DOWN.

What is Emil supposed to do then? Become some clone of Hakius? That just wouldnt work, if you dont play whats truly inside of you it comes out the wrong way.

I personally think its a good choice to have Emil Amos in the band. He does an outstanding job in Grails and it gives a new sound to the band which i really like. And there's allways the older albums with Chris...

every live video ive seen with him it seems like he's just pushing the tempo wayyy to fast teh entire song and it's almost a battle with cisneros trying to slow him down.

FUUUUU... You took the words right out of my head... I really dislike the new guy, this is SLOW TEMPO stuff, why can't he get that? The drums lay down the ground work and the bass does the rest, if the groundwork is being put down waaay to fucking fast, then the bass has to play catch up... What the hell!?

Although I agree Emil definitely speeds the tempo up compared to Chris, he had some large shoes to fill. He's replacing a guy that Al has been jamming with for like 20 years. I'm interested to see how the new album is going to sound more than anything else.
