  • I want this video on my 235 phone.

  • Shykh Hamza Yusuf explain the coran the way it has to be. The man is a genius.

  • mach allah

this man is great !! really !

  • i just love this speech ...it's one of my fave's

  • The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said "my ummah will never worship idols" therefore a Muslim can't do so. The salafis have gotten it wrong about traditional Muslims(sufis) and accuse them of shirk. Shirk is to worship someone or something other than Allah and every Muslim knows that only Allah alone is the creator and answers all prayers. Just because someone says ya Muhammad or ya ali, does not mean the person is worshipping them.

  • @AssyrianMuslim

I Know Muslim people who attend the Friday prayer, i know Muslim families, their children (we are talking about 13 to 23 years of age some who are blindly following a famous football team (attending matches) shouting and praising their team, idolizing their favorite players, at the same time the "Muslim" girls are idolizing Britney Spears, Boy zone, Madonna, these people have their posters all over their bedrooms...... surely you are not denying that this is a form of shirk ???

  • @as160494 I know Muslims who pray, have long beards, even do extra acts of worship yet many atheists have better manners than them. What is ur point? You think everyone born in a certain "muslim country" is Muslim? It is Allah who will judge us all in the end. As for flushing toilets etc, you just proved my point, by ur salafi logic, all those things have to be bidah but you pick and choose what you like and dislike. Again, shirk is to hold someone equal to God or worship.

  • @AssyrianMuslim

    Salafi logic ??? .......wrong !

    I am not a salafi

nice try but no cigar !

" Shirk is to worship someone or something other than Allah"

remember buddy, that was your statement, therefore you have answered your own question, it is also called putting your foot in your own mouth!

Yes !....it is correct that "ya Muhammad or ya ali, does not mean the person is worshipping them" , so exactly.... what is ur point if any ?

"but you pick and choose what you like and dislike" ???...mmm

  • @as160494 i dont pick and choose but I simply follow what is clear and leave what is being debated alone. You may say music is haraam and bring your "evidence" and someone else will say it is not haraam and bring his "evidence" and I am not gonna waste my time with that. It either is or is not. I think you're confusing yourself here akhee. You gonna chase more people away with all the division than help. I got turned off by Christianity partially because of sects. Islam is suppose to be truth.

  • @as160494 in that case, what about muslims who chase money? will you say they doing shirk also? Shirk is to attribute equal powers to someone other than Allah. What those people you mention are doing is ignorance more than anything. Allah knows best but I know what you are talking about and I blame family, country etc. There is a lot of ignorance in the Muslim world.

  • Sheikh hamza is a great man! I know Someone that knows him personally! And they sed once sheikh hamza & his wife went to a restaurant (can't remember which country) & noticed how all they ppl were ordering more food than they can eat & obviously all this food was being left over! So him & his wife took all the leftovers & went around giving it to the homeless! That's what I call following the sunnah! U wahabis hav too much anger, and backbiting is not following the sunnah!

  • i havent heard any lecture of him, but i heard from friends about him, i wont judge him how he is, but let me tell u one thing, prophet Muhammad(saw) said dont cloth as dis believers do, about our cloths, hair, beard, everything, we have to be different from dis believers, there are ahadith of prophet Muhammad(saw) about beard, to keep your beard and make ur mustaches short that ur skin be visible.

  • @thencounter79 I am sorry but that is silly. He can wear what he is wearing because its nothing wrong with it. Orthodox Jews and Christians have beards so why do you grow one? U want to look different right? Some people take things to extreme and this is a perfect example.

  • I EXPOSE The TRUTH For the BENEFIT of MANKIND!!!. The LIARS EXPOSE THEMSELVES!!!.

  • May the American people find out soon that the same people trying to destroy America are also trying to destroy all the Islamic countries in the middle east. These people are the enemy of both America and Islam. May there finally be peace in the world once this secret is revealed.

  • Now you have gone too low and I cannot come as low as you to answer you...

People like you belong to toilets...

  • I know, i am a arab WTF ??? i have allways said if i became a president of a nation the first group i will destroy is zionist and then dick face arab pics of shit like you....

  • he's a great muslim mA

  • and why not? don't underestimate him. He was not taught by Sheikh Google and yahoo.

He didn't get the Sheikh title for nothing.

  • "MARZOOGI". u c many none Muslims don't understand Islam cos they get a lot of false info. So when they here Muslim they think "backward!?". many muslims hear a llot of nonsense about sufism. in fact many 'fasiqs' have committed sins whilst they claimed to be sufi's. that don't make sufism false per say. Sufism is a way, an approach to correct the ills of your heart i.e. envy etc. you don't have to follow it, but u definitely should not condemn it without fully understating it, i mean FULLY!!

  • @helloworldshah Sufism is not a sect of islam but it is traditional Islam and alwaysbeen part of islam. Salafis have no understanding, are narrow minded and arrogant. They love division. May Allah guide them and all of us ameen

  • MARZOOGI, there is nothing wrong with sufism. Look up what it actually means b4 making a judgment. And judging people based on youtube clips (of someone chanting Allah) name is not exactly healthy?! You cannot say chanating Allah's name is bidha. And don't say "Prophet didn't do it so we cannot do it" other criterion apply!! The prophet didn't do many things that scholars allow (inc ones u quoted) i.e. adhan on tv etc etc. open your mind bro!?!?

  • @helloworldshah to wt new thing? i luv this guy bt its known to be bidha and you guys can never prove its relevence to quran or the sunnah

  • @princerashed

whose u guys?!? so if i sit and chant Allah! Allah! cos it gives me pleasure according to you i'm committing a crime?!? or bidha!? don't think so.

i feel sorry for people who don't understand. and what do u exactly mean relevance? that is such a silly non-sensical remark?!?

  • @helloworldshah bro thats nice and am sure u enjoy and do to be closer to your maker and show respect and love to your Prophet!. But no one has asked you to do it nor was islam made in a way for it to b practised that way in my oppion That sad i love muslim and i have nothing but praise for the Sheik if christians cant unite any other religous groups can put aside there difference and unite against us i think we should awell. salaam!

  • @princerashed in the time of our prophet(pbuh) there were no microphones, why use one in masjids? there were no walls seperating men n women, y u have one now? Bidah? Bidah is something haraam introduced into the religion.

  • @AssyrianMuslim

First of all congratulation on converting to Islam, may Allah guide you, bless you and make you successful in Islam. To give Dawah or answer questions on a public forum regarding Islam, you must first have knowledge, you must first carry out extensive research and give an answer accordingly.

Question: "There were no microphones then, so why use one in masjids today"

Answer: "There were no flushing toilets then, so why use flushing toilets in masjids today"

    see what i mean ???

  • @MARZOOGI - Who has given you the right to judge people, especially if their people who are scholars and individuals who have studied basically all their lives.

How dare you utter words against righteous people like Habib Ali Al Jifri, do you know who he is? Have you ever met him and spoke to him? I hope you understand and realise that you are backbiting somebody who is a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad(May Peace and Blessings of Allah SWT by upon Him)?

  • @MARZOOGI - I Alhamdulilah have met Habib Ali Al Jifri and he is MashAllah so beautiful and increases my love for the Prophet Muhammad (May Peace and Blessings of Allah SWT be upon Him). Be careful and wise with your words dude.

  • @MARZOOGI The Koran was never compiled into a book by the Prophet (pbuh) either. Should we return it to it's original state of bits and pieces?

  • i just love shikh Hamza Yusuf :)

  • subhanallah

  • He is not sufie dude, research your info bro

  • I like his beard

  • Hamza Yousef is great mashallah...hilarious...

British people are not all the same...

  • I agree he's great, mashaAllah, but be careful with the "messenger" thing - isn't that going a little far? Unless you didn't mean what I was afraid you meant...

  • i know .. what you mean bro.. he is a great man ..

    salaam to you

    have a nice day

  • I take it that Sheikh Hamza Yusuf at the time didn't know that UK was actually being a transit root for the 27000 Muslims who were illegally detained and tortured by the CIA. I am sure the sheikh is a good man but he is also a naïve man. He did not know that the UK government is run by the Jews! He never counted the number of Jews in the parliament and cabinet! Isnt that naive?

I have lots of respect for the British people but UK government is not British! It is Jewish!

  • Im not trying to debate you brother. Last year an American said to me, "The Arabs own more than 1/2 of UK". I disagreed of course. The point Im making is that everyone is pointing and blaming. Does it really matter? Divisions are the work of the devil. In Arabia one tribe blames the other. We have Sunni vs Shia. South Yemenis want separation. 2 brothers......from the same mother and father have a hard time in this Dunya. Do I have a point? You decide. Sllam.

  • Mashallah i brilliant shaykh may Allah reward him for his efforts. Inshallah.

  • hamza is among the few wise men today living. God bless him and his family. i could listen to him for hours and never move from my seat.

  • Did anyone find the nasheed at the beginning?

  • @beyazhaq i have it: watch?v=XpfGyjSnKvM

  • Muslims...you need for figures like him today!

  • Hamza yusuf is a great character in the muslim world we hope that allah will increase people like him in the Ummah

  • Wats the nasheed playin at the beginning?

  • The only thing I can say is ... There is'nt enough of this Great man to go around. We need more muslims like him and thats an understatement.

  • @szuhbi completely agree brother

  • Did he really say "I swear by this land"? Was he citing something here or really swearing?

  • his quetig the Quran...

  • Thank you, I found the Ayat, he quoted Sura 90 Ayat 1 - 2.

  • It's amazing. Allah said in the Quran: "Nay! I swear by this city. And you are free in this city." ** but Allah was talking to Muhammad, and referring to Makkah.

But Shaykh Yusuf used the Ayah -- ma sha Allah -- in this sense. Very nice! ** "I swear by this land (America), and you are a free citizen in this land." :) :)

  • I didn't know that one could translate whatever Arabic word was translated with "city" as "land" also; by the way, I think he was talking in Britain :)

  • oh yeah. sorry, i forgot. ha, ha...

  • Oh yeah -- by the way -- about the Arabic word, that is sometimes translated as 'land', or 'city', etc. It is "balad". Now, balad, as is known in the language doesn't have to mean city, in the commonly understood meaning of the word. We think of city, as a "town" in bigger land. But in arabic, 'town' is: "qaryah".

When the Arabs say, this is my 'balad', or this is my 'bilaad', they mean: this is my country, this is my home, this is my land. So the meaning is vast, and this is known in arabic

  • Thanks for that :) Still got to learn Arabic.

    as salaamu aleykum

  • May Allah bless you and give us all beneficial knowledge and forgiveness in this Noble Month. :) wa alaykum salaam. thanks for reminding me about the fact that Shaykh Hamza was speaking in Britain.
