  • is the gravel bed constant flow?

  • It's 1/2" permatill. But we're having doubts about it as it is alkaline and hard to take to acid. We'll be mixing in a more acidic silica stone.

  • @HAPONICS Permatil. But it's alkaline. We're looking at alternate stones that provide slightly acid otherwise zucc, cuc's and eggplants don't absorb phosphorus and minerals

  • what kind of drainage system are you using? is it a constant flow or flood and drain?

  • @fishatlantic . this is a constant flow for deep beds and we used an ebb flow in adjacent system that helped convert ammonia.

  • Hey David! Congrats! Awesome system! You used plumbing pipe for the structural framing? and what are those huge black tubes called? (that you use for raising fish)
