I just bought Logic 9. I use live 8 in my Pc, but when I heard a demo of Apple Logic i was blown away! The sound quality I think its better than that coming out from Lives 8 engine (maybe is just me). Although I still think Ableton is the easiest software to do anything.
Anyway, when it comes to snapping notes to the grid i am having sort of a hard time.
is there a way to auto quantize while you record, and make everything to snap to grid in either 1/4, 1/8.
Dude where can I get those instruments you got, can u send me some stuff please? kasksmith@gmail.com I have logic pro im trying to get some more instruments
How do you make those textured noises? In the very beginning, you had a beat going with that crashing sound. I've been working on a piece, but I just can't figure it out and I don't know what to search for. Thanks. BTW, great work!
i like this song. it's a chilled feeling about it. i think it would be good to have a under water view with this song. it would set the mood quite well.
Even though i prefer hardstyle more, your track has made me wonder. Such a nice ambience and melody in so relaxing, rly good job mate. I've got one question though. Since i want to start producing music after my final exams are over, i am wondering whether buyin a MAC and making music in Logic Pro is a good idea. Does it have a lot of functions, like for example some programs for OS Windows (FL, Reason, etc)
@Lukchh i dont know all the ins and outs about music software, but since i started my audio tech course at uni, we only use logic pro 9 on iMacs and its far easier to use than the others. if you are used to programs like reason then you can always use the rewire function to use reason sounds in logic. you have to remember that apple make things easy for everybody
I love this. The intro and build up it awesome. Reminds me of a song done for Midnight Club 3 called Aurora. I just started getting into making Trance music and have been experimenting with garageband. I'm ready for something more extensive. Logic Pro seems like the way to go although you gotta cough up some money for it. I have a mac and cant really go for FL Studio. I hope to hear more great songs from you. :)
@noxuzes logic express 9 is nowhere near as good as logic pro! logic express is like the light version. it restricts you from doing certain things. can i take a guess that you payed extra for your mac to have logic express preinstalled?
I love this track and the ambiance you have created with it. I would like a heavier kick for larger speakers but that's just me.
I have just started learning music production/Logic and this is one of the styles I am looking at making.
Do you have an idea and build that or just sit down and lay out a melody and build a track round it? I am still trying to figure out my "method" inspiration I guess I mean.
@N3orion Thank you. Well I´ve still not found a "correct" method for this, but untill now only My Avatar was a clear idea to me before I started on it. My other productions pretty much all started as a bassline thing on which I builded the rest up around. But good question, I still ask myself this too...
Thanx man ;) There´s nothing in track 6 in the beginning so I believe you mean track 7..?? That´s a sound in Omnisphere I made, used with the arpeggiator and tuned it into this.
@N3orion Thats really a difficult question to answer haha.I think it really depends.Sometimes you just make something and other things follow.I actually sort of have a suggestion though, you could make a main melodic/chorus part of the part and then you can make intros/sequence them your way.
yeah i like this alot mate, i agree with djJohnny about the kick i think a slightly deeper kick will help this, but great track anyway , check out some on my page let me know what you think
Once again absolutely amazing...!

how do you makes the kick in logic deeper??
none sound like the ones usually used in trance and techno music
UO777TDWP 2 years ago
@UO777TDWP EQ, Compression or a filter. there are other ways like synthesising the track but the others are simpler.
verzeda 2 years ago
song sounds great.
only the kick may be deeper :)
dannyvriens 2 years ago
This is my favorite song!
The beginning is just so cool to listen to, and it pumps me up when I hear yet drives me insane as to how the synthesizer patterns are!
You could make the bass more higher but that's only me.
I learned that if you combine two different beats on the same bar, it makes it deeper and sounds a lot better.
Nice job though!

Sounds kind of like Mirror's Edge music. Were you inspired by Mirror's Edge?
BotmixGames 2 years ago
I don´t know them. My inspirations comes from a lot of different trance/psytrance acts like Ticon, Sun Control Species and Protoculture.

Mirror's Edge is a videogame.

@elek3ctii Actually, Mirror's Edge is a video game. Not a group. This song is cool anyway.

nice work.audio units used?
21centimetres 2 years ago
Thx. I used Omnisphere, Nexus, Blue and Sylenth1.
elek3ctii 2 years ago
its up to you, the punchy one makes it sounds more like psy-trance,
a kick with a slightly longer tail and a deeper thud would bring the track out more i think,
all in all its really really good mate !!
djjohnny2108 2 years ago
i like it but i thick you should use a more bassy kick instead of the snappy 1 you have there,
also more time on this tune and i think it will sound really good
