  • Gah~! I'm envious~! Thx for the awesome vid~! Keep having fun out there~!

  • cooper stts are not a good tire

  • You sooo need locknig differentials, but still looks like you had tons of fun.

  • So those waffle boards actually work? Doing it again what length would you get? Any other kit you'd recomend?

  • wow....awesome!

  • Excellent

  • awesome vids ..but would be better without music i rekon..

  • Dude that looks lyk some good fun, I'm researching for my 1st 4x4. I'm thinking GQ Patrol. what would sme1 with your experience say? Thanks

  • @xannnax544 dude, just buy a defender as you first..

  • Have you ever heard of diff-locks..?

  • @jszbp nice ride, though...

  • look verry fun but also abit scary

  • Watching him get suck in the mud makes me want lockers even more now.

  • As far as I know, Dan had lockers. What he needed was relocation cones for extreme flex.

  • As an ex REME VM, 25 years worth of landrover driving experience, its a pleasure to see a landrover driven well off road.good on ya boys, and brits too.

  • Now this is summit I wouldn't mind trying......but then again I'd fear I'd roll the thing! LOLZ

  • I gotta admit... you are one great driver!

  • Great video, superb footage! But next time, please use better music. I can't understand why you would use a song that keeps saying "I love you less and less" when driving a Landie! I had to turn the sound down.

  • Considering the Wolf got him all across the known world, I'd say you're all talk.

  • @mauromosc why people allways say fuck that and fuck the other. toyota is a good offroader also. so...

  • fool

  • where did you get those dual snorkles from?

  • For those who don't know the difference, there's a video on youtube called "Eaton Locking Differential Demonstration" that shows the difference very clearly.

That's an automatic locking differential, shown in that video.

Personally, I am partial to selective locking differentials, since I prefer to have all the control over my vehicle. :)

  • And a video of selectable locking differentials.

Look up "ARB Airlocker Operation Demo" on YouTube.

  • You can get some that works with air pressure.

Apply pressure, and they lock, turn it off, and they work like normal differentials.

Should the compressor break, you can apply a handpump.

Hard to make a simpler system, really.

And it makes a worlkd of difference when climbing out of trenches, where one wheel will be in the air, spinning.

You will want powersteering, when using locking differentials though, or it gets tough indeed. But I think you already have that.

  • That landrover could really have used locking differetnials, I say.

  • I'm inclined to agree, although I wasn't sure about reliability.

If any manufacturers want to offer a set for evaluation, I will be pleased to try them on our next project.

  • Heh, getting them for free might be troublesome.

Then again, I don't know if you have any other sponsors already.

Might be you could have several sponsors chip in. :)

  • @LoneWolfTransglobal Didn't it get frustrating going through all that?

  • @LoneWolfTransglobal so how did it go with the reliability?

  • Still, considering it's a laden vehicle, it doesn't do at all badly.

  • @blibbax

    true enough.

But locking differentials would still have made a world of difference.
