  • 29 gallon is perfect for 2-3 watts per gallon. 6,500k bulbs and another bulb of your choice. 29 gallon you could actually grow some serious plants. Good Job.

  • love the tank nice job

  • real plants or fake?? nice tank! just got my tank and stuff, i only need to make the stand, then buy, clean, and put in gravel, then add water, add chemicals, then get it tested and ad fish/decor. lol any tips for a newb?

  • All plants are real. I don't have any fake stuff. Main tip is to research the type of plants you want and also how much your lighting supports. My plants don't require much light so they don't really need any CO2 injected into the system. So far the fish and plants are balanced well with no algae problems.

  • tnx man i appreciate it! what about CO2 how much do u think i should use?

  • I was using liquid ferts before but I have stopped now for a while. The plants are still growing rather fast in the tank without any CO2 or ferts. I think the balance between the amount of fish and moderate lighting is more than enough. Also the proper plants for moderate light.

  • how many wpg should i use for my 29 gallon tank?

  • That depends on the type of plants you have and how many. Mid level is around 2 - 2.5wpg which is what I have.

  • o man sweet tank
