T2 woofers are not recomended for BOX square sealed enclousures because of dead air space in the corners of the box which make the woofer back feed and even bottom out you will not fry the sub it will just sound like loud shit..... now that is said the enclosure that you see in this video is called a cylinder enclousure there just as loud as a ported box and have better response NO CORNERS = NO DEAD AIR SPACE the guy is not an idiotually pretty smart..... just stating the facts

very simple box design. and they work extreamly well.. the very thick layered cardboard used for pouring cement. it goes deeper then you see. but it remains a tube. then you slide a faceplate over and carpet it all. sounds bad i know.. but dont knock it till you hear it. i watched some little chinease dude win a clarity judged compeition and all of his components were in shoe boxes.

Let me educate you with how I came up with that speculation. The T2 is far taller than that cylinder, and you can't cut the woofer in half! You can get a sealed box to act like a port one (according to the sub anyways) as long as you do the calculations... unfortunately though for those subs he would need a pretty big box to do that... and I'm pretty sure he learned this the hard way 2 years ago

It would actually be better for the sub in a sealed box than ported due to the extra control. Sure, there are subs that are made for ported boxes due to their "q" numbers but I don't see how you would think that a T2 is gonna blow in a sealed box.

While this can greatly increase peak power handling via intense compression, it greatly reduces the speaker's long-term power handling capabilities due to lack of air flow for cooling the voice coil which can be more easily generated in a ported box. In a sealed box, the speaker will be less likely to "blow" (exceed xlim) but more likely to "fry" (exceed voice coil templim).
