6 seconds in - i love how the sun becomes a solid line in the sky.

It should wobble up and down in the sky as the seasons go past.

Even faster - as even the seasons blur together the line would loose it's definition and become a large shaded section of the sky. Brighter in the middle and more diffuse towards the edges.

I have been trying to remember for months where i saw this. Finally i remembered this film.

Then why does the original still retain its classic status even after 49 years? For nostalgic purposes, the journey in the original Time Machine was far more imaginative and magical! And the classic Victorian machine is one of the most famous sci-fi vehicle props ever conceived for a motion picture!

I beg to differ. Spinning gyroscopes always fascinated me as a kid and seeing a big golden gyroscope in cinema was awesome.

This time vehicle is my favourite. I just love the spinning  flourescent bulbs !

@MrSquidman007 the original movie has a better story line(screen play) which was closer to Wells' account in his book and the acting of Alan Young and Rod Stewert was absolutely wonderful. Young's interpretation of the Filby personality in the three phases of his life was acadeny award potential.. Russel Garcia's sound track was stunning for how he gave the movie such a strong emotional appeal.....

Well.. In fact this is not the original song. He used the eighth song from the soundtrack called Eloi (just like he stated) he edited it the make the chorus part longer, the original song is shorter.
