For your last comment i do agree ( is not about style is about you )
I start wing tsun 6 months ago along because i saw the movie Ip man and i made a wooden dummy a fantastic tool to use for moves if you know and learn how. . .
I want to ask you have you ever try or you will Wooden Dummy?
@ChadC919 You need to find an instructor who understands this principle because proper bone alignment is a "feeling" that develops in the body over time and with much practice.
the way I know the true extent of that mans blows regardless of what anyone may say is that the bottom board always breaks fully outward before the top board does!!!
@tdgarguile Your observation is accurate. Few observers are aware that the physics of board breaking require that the last board in the stack must break first.
I would like to see you say that to the face of a good "wrestler"... As far as it comes to many attackers, the only good thing against a bigger "audience" is a gun, or a pair of fast running feet...
@martinkyochukov You seem to have a different idea of what qualifies as 'wrestling." Perhaps you mean a style of combat jujitsu? The kind of "wrestling" we are referring to is a sport with rules of engagement, and not a martial art with kicks and hand strikes. As far as it comes to many attackers? Yes, a gun is good, fast feet are better, and don't under estimate a striker who can move and has stopping power in his strikes and kicks.
@martinkyochukov No matter how big you think you are, critical spots of the body are still accessible and will render any fighter of any caliber useless or provide a severe hindrance in one's fighting ability. A person can only take so many proper full forced attacks (I.E) to the head, regardless of what style you master. It is a must to have proper defense/evasive abilities. Other wise Wrestling>All now wouldn't it? -_- I highly doubt Lesnar would withstand 3 or more free strikes from Bruce Lee.
@gotmituns Wrestling is a sport and is not supposed to be "lethal." It is an ineffective strategy against multiple attackers, especially if one or more of them are armed.
@nodankarate i am not arguing. i know from first hand experience. once the wrestler has a grip on you, you are done. and the hitting and punching is for perfect situations where the opponent is not a fighter, you can knock him out easily. but if he knows you are gonna hit him and he is your size or bigger, then chances are those hits won't help in sudden street fight situations. but if you can wrestle somebody down, and break his arms, that's different story.
I can't get enough of these awesome martial arts !Now me and my friend need no more abs at the gym.We watch this and both have awesome abs.Thank you sensei!
@ecaepevolhturt The two men are using full power striking blocks that are designed to break the arm of the attacker. Special padding is essential in this kind of exercise.
@acrocanthosaurus4 Nodan was a mixed martial artist, having studied a variety of Okinawan, Japanese and Chinese striking and throwing arts. In "The five Principles," he is demonstrating a "one strike" technique that appears to have been developed with makiwara training by 19th century Okinawan Shuri-te masters.
