doing this without DSC is really sketchy.. once you get going over 100 the wind pushes you all over the road.

Mine is 2004 330i and i figured it out. It just never shifts on 5th gear. In steptronic manual mode, I was not able to shift on 5th even going 120 maxing out 4th gear and the limiter didn't allow to shift on 5th. So when ever it revs you can not shift on 5th gear.

how can you unlock the max speed. It is 155mph by the BMW's specs.

Poor Americans.. in germany the Automatic Version goes 247km/h and over 250 with manual. Maybe they reduce it, that even a Mustang get a little change. ;)

@DrMoscht its true .. even i have seen how one 330cd germany MANUAL made like 267 km/h in autobann i searched about video like this and i find in youtube one makes 272 kmh the germanies is amazing! fuck american versions...

kinda slow man ride man, r u scared to try 250+ kph? 220kph I do with my Skoda Octavia II 2.0 TDI, u do that with 3 liter BWM...

330Ci is limited at 250kph... and theres no problem to get it chipped to no limit dude... just sell the car to me and get my Octavia :)

Pardon my ignorance, but if this car is limited to 135... does a non limited 330ci still accellerate to 135 at the same time as yours did? or does the limiter make accelleration slower too? (when you approach 130ish)

@Kraig00 Not ignorance definitely a good question. Old limiters were mechanical and worked to slow spinning objects by expanding springs that would work on the pull of the spinning object to create friction and slow and control the spin. This method would slow the acceleration before the designated speed. However, newer limiters work on a fuel cutoff or engine braking at a selected speed.

Cars with euro specs generally have higher limiters. I know for a fact that the car you are talking about is limited at 155.

That's just the background light. He or she has it on really high. There's a dial for it on the left side of the dash.

Sorry I missed the point before! I live in New Zealand (Middle Earth to some) and got my BMW from Japan so thought it would be limited to 180km/112mph but nope proved that theory wrong...

Top speed on 330CI is limited to 155MPH, if yours cuts out at 135 then it cant be a 330CI
