man with due respect, ustadji is taking sitar to a completely new level. i must say though that he has the benifit of previous generation stalwarts on whose braod shoulders he stands. but nevertheless, he has taken sitar playing to a new level of perfection in terms of almost all aspects whether its the melody or the taankari. also plz dont metnion that showboater ravi shankar in honest discussions about great sitar players.

char7171 this music is so soul-touching , cant you feel it? at my age you cant surprise me with 'listen to many other musicians' theory. i have listened to all you have heared and much more. I have listened to Vilayat Khan, Ravi Shankar, Balram Pathak, Rais khan, Imrat khan, A H Jafar, Ali Akbar, Amjad Ali, Nikhil Banerji and many more live at their peaks.different people have different things to offer.but music is always music. How can you be so dishonest to your ears? Be a man speak the truth!

Before you say this fellow is talented you should listen to this rag by NB, AAK and RS. This performance is mediocre by any standard.

The others got their talent by hard work not by some mythical GOD.

I dont get it I can definitely hear the whole of the taan. I think there is some problem with your pc or else I can hear the whole taan in my pc, because I can hear that he has reached the mukhra. However the gat does not finish although the taan has finished.
