  • だよね

  • wouldn't girls say "sou ne"?

  • yup

  • when would you use wakarimasu? in a formal setting? at work?

  • women can use dayone!!

  • @KIck0japan So if a girl said it, it wouldn't be incorrect?

  • @fluffycat58 There are feminine phrases and words only women use and phrases that men use but recently those lines are being blurred and women and men are using both.

  • keiko, i love you so much...please be my teacher. , keiko ga boku no sensei dattara, itsu made mo benkyositai dessssss...

  • Nice video. can learn well with it,

  • Actually girls can say dayone, I heard it in Japanese drama :-D

  • @ksztenczrez

Makes the girl sound tomboyish, like when a girl uses "boku" to refer to herself.

  • I said dayone when i went to japan school and they were like =O! hehe.

  • @92mascara lolz! guess this tip really worked out for you =)

    nice

  • so do i say ne or daiyo ne if im a girl (which i am ;P)

  • i think just stick with 'ne' =]

  • You say ne =) I have not really heard many say dayone.

  • da yone!!

  • 「だよね〜」

    全然女の子も使えますよ。私は変じゃないとおもうけどな

  • "sou da ne" or "sou ya ne" for kansai people. ;-)

  • @atarig33k gotta love kansai tho

  • funny and educative i think xD jejeje 5/5!!! dayoneee!! xD

  • my teacher is japanese. i say "ne" or "soy ne" when he is teaching something. :)

  • The way "dayo ne" sounds is like asking a question. I wonder if you write the "?" when you put it in paper or something.

  • No, it's not common to write "?" - usually you can tell wether it is a question or not from the context :>

  • i guess it's kind of like "I know, right?!"

  • Very funny and great tips, keep it up!

  • wats the name of the song in the end of the show?

  • LOL

    These are awesome!!

Keep up the awesome work ^^

  • girl's say da yo ne all the time.

  • これ見るのが面白い。

  • I think it's awsome 2!

  • at so u neh

  • what about " soo da na "

  • COOL

  • dayo ne?

    what does it mean again?

  • Good video for foreigners. Nice work.

Girls can use dayone. but it sounds little bit rude. There was a funny song "dayone" about 15 years ago.

  • So desu, ne?

    Fabulous, thanks!

  • Can she speak English or just understand some of it?

  • so can girls use dayo ne?

  • Adding "da" or "dayo ne" is masculine talk.

Japanese will think you are weird if you use it.

Girls usually use "ne" or "wa ne" at the end of sentences.

  • Yes, girls can use "dayo ne" a lot of them do.

  • more! more!

  • awsome........dayo ne!!!!!

  • Yes, actually it's more girly than a guy thing.

  • dayo ne!!!!!!!!!

  • でしょう is a formal version of だろう. To me those words add some uncertainty, like "I wonder" or "It seems that..."

For example you could say something like:

    今年は日本に行けるのだろうか

I wonder if I can go to Japan this year?

  • some people also say "でしょう?". Is "でしょう?" equal to "だよね?

  • deshou is like you agree, or saying you are right, by using "isnt it"... but you have to becareful with the tone, because it could sounds as a question like "is that true?", something like that...

im a beginner n still learning japanese, just my opinion..... dont take it as 100% right...

  • I'm sure girls can say the 'Da' when used in 'dayo ne'. Da is normally quite a masculine way of stating something but I know some Japanese student girls over in the uk who say 'dayo ne' a lot.

  • I saw a Japanese drama, Papa to Musume no Nanokakan, in which the cute high school girl used 'da yo ne'. So I think you're right.

  • cool..i found this amusing and helpful!! arigatou yo!

  • unless I've gone deaf he says "onna no tsukai no wa na" isn't that a bit girlish for a guy to say that?

  • O.I I just heard it too! XD I wasn't paying attention. I don't think it is. If he added "ne" XD I think that would hit the meter

  • I didn't know this expression, thank u very much!

  • ne ne ne ne ne ...........lol nice show xD

  • ne?

  • I love your shows and vids Thanks for putting them up ^_^

  • This is is so cute! XD

  • huh, at the college we say "sou da ne", "sou desu ne"

  • why r u ranting on something dat has NOTHING to deal with learning japanese?

  • baka!!

it is...its only if u noe japanese alot...haha

its telling u not what to use...when u agree!

    gosh...its pretty basic...lol

  • Ok that was useful AND funny xD

  • ...so you never change anything? you are a very boring conformist, leave them alone, japaneses have black hair, some times is good to be a little different from the others , by the way if you are so "naturalist" then go out naked, don't use deodorant and move to Amazon...lol

  • aw man, i'm a total gaijin....

  • here in Brazil we say "né" too hehehe maybe they broght because Brazil has the biggest japanese community of the world.

  • apparently japan has the biggest japanese community.

  • That would make sense wouldnt it....Lmao!

  • dayo, ne ?

  • nois fala né por kausa do - não eh?

  • what does hair dye just have to do with Japan? 0.o

  • so cute when she says "ne" in the end

  • So nan da yo ne

  • Sore wa nan da yo ne?

  • So, why can't (or shouldn't) girls say dai yo?

  • can, but it just sounds more manly or stronger

  • yeah, i agree

  • GREECE - JAPAN = BROTHERS

  • Yea Greece! x3 (I'm Greek, lol)

  • I knew that.. But it was helpful, Although I don't talk like a bookworm gaijin.. People say i sound Japanese.. :) I still have errors when i speak though..

  • "di yo ne" sweeet! but you would think that a girl would you "neeehhh" cuase it sounds cuter, i can picture girls using that. Thank you. you have been a big help! Ardigato!

  • "da yo ne"

  • is "da yo ne" just short for desu yo ne?

as in "it is, isnt it?!"

  • Pretty much. :3 It's informal, rather than being polite.

  • not really, they mean basically the same thing. "da" means the same thing as "desu" except desu is much, much more polite. da should only be used with friends and children.

  • no it isn't short for it, it means exactly the same thing. "Da" and "desu" mean exactly the smame thing, except desu is much, much more polite and da should only be used with peers or people younger than you.

So, to you I'd say "Desu yo ne?" because I don't know you, and to say, my younger brother, I'd say "Da yo ne?"

  • thats right. desu is more polite, while da is more informal, used btwn friends etc.

  • じゃっ 侍の国ですね。ナルホドー

  • 打余寝

  • why can't the girls use the da part

  • It's not that they *can't*. It's that men and women tend to use different wording in Japanese.

  • lol

  • だってばよ~!

  • それは沖縄では...

  • I wonder if it´s different from person to person of what they say to impress japanese friends?
