My parents are pretty decent as far as parents go. One of them is almost always home, they don't gamble, drink, or do drugs. They also spend time with me, and I know that they love me. Oh yeah and they're gay. I've never felt any less feminine because I'm raised by two men. Stop thinking I'm deprived as far as parents go because I wasn't born into the 1950s version of the perfect family.

..cont from below...If we look to Galatians 3:28, we find that all are equally blessed in the eyes of Jesus Christ. If this is so, why wouldn't He also bless marriages between partners of the same sex?

We live in a democracy, and our founders took great pains to keep church and state separate. The constitution's purpose is to protect all of the American people. Let's keep this in mind when we vote. If there was ever a time when we could use a lot of Christ Love, that time is clearly now.

If we're really going to turn to the Bible to argue against gay marriage, then we need to be fair and consider all of the other Biblical passages that are being ignored in this debate. The Bible condoned slavery. It approved a man having sex with another woman if he & his wife could not conceive a child. It condoned polygamy & the keeping of concubines (mistresses). It was written at a time when women were considered to be men's property. Do we agree with any of these ideas today? Of course not.

Children have every right to have a mother and father. But guess what, we live in the real world where this doesn't happen. Having two fathers or two mothers doesn't make bad things happen. Look at the research studies, they come out to be better parents then the average couple. The only thing they have to be worried about is the bigotry of others.

erinknudsen -- "traditionally" marriage has been between one man and as many women as he could afford... or between a man and the woman he bought from her father (regardless of the woman's desires) ... or as an instrument of political alliance ... etc. The definition of marriage has constantly evolved over time.

Clearly, this is the way it should be,afterall God himself endorsed man and woman marriage.There never was an Adam and Adam marriage or Eve and Eve marriage in the beginning. Oh honey! As light skinned as you are, you should not be against gay marriage. Obviously you have some interracial genealogy in your family history. Not so long ago it would have been against the law to have an interracial marriage. If two people love each other; black, white, gay, straight, whichever way we are BORN, we should be able to marry and commit to one another.
